Continuing Resolutions are Unconstitutional

How the Shutdown Europeanized the U.S. Constitution and How to Restore It

"...Article I sect. 9 of the Constitution, “No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law” meant that the entire Congress considered, individually, each of the executive branch’s requests for money as well as proposals made by members regardless of party. Rarely would votes on individual appropriations be along party lines. Nearly always, the Congress would work as James Madison’s Federalist #10 had intended, “to refine and enlarge the public view.” The failure of any appropriation to muster a majority in both houses merely meant that there would be no money or authorization for that measure. Never, ever, could the failure of an appropriation cause a national crisis, never mind “shut down the government.”

But as I explained in an earlier post the latter day practice of rolling all appropriations into a single “Continuing Resolution” that funds the entire government reduces the Congress to choosing between doing neither more nor less than what those who impose that “resolution” want, or “shutting down the government”...The 2013 “shutdown” happened because a Democratic President and Senate majority made sure that no appropriation bills for fiscal year 2014 would be enacted prior to the end of fiscal 2013, and hence that all funds for 2014 would be rolled into a single “Continuing Resolution.”

This included funds for “obamacare,” which would surely not have been appropriated by the House of Representatives if presented singly. Republicans objected to “obamacare” in the only way possible given the fact that it was included in a CR, namely by opposing the CR.

During the “shutdown,” the House of Representatives passed and re-passed appropriations for any and all parts of the government. But President Barack Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid refused them again and again, chastising Republicans for not voting on the one, single appropriation that the Democratic Party had crafted. The words they used are significant. Obama: “we don’t get to pick and choose based on which party likes what...the government doesn’t work that way.” Reid: “ Republicans are...cherry picking the few parts of the government they like.”

Just as significant is that the Republicans did not rebut most vigorously that “cherry picking” the things for which the people should and should not pay is precisely, exactly the Congress’ duty, that getting to “pick and choose” what any legislator likes or dislikes is precisely, exactly the way that the US government had always worked and was meant to work. Instead, the Republican Establishment, including prominently The Wall Street Journal, denigrated and ridiculed those Republicans who stood in the Democrats’ way.

Thus the Republican Establishment’s acquiescence to the CR as a method of governance foisted upon America what amounts to a radical departure from the US Constitution and from American history. This Europeanization of American government is far bigger stuff than Obamacare."

How the Shutdown Europeanized the US Constitution and How to Restore It

Democrats and Republicans, by entering and exiting the 2013 “government shutdown” without regard to America’s traditional Constitutional practices, practically instituted among us the European practice of single “crisis” votes that enable or disable governments. The remedy lies in removing any doubt...

The House GOP leadership is committing suicide by not insisting that each spending bill be separate and voted on individually, only allowing directly related amendments.

An energy bill could cut ethanol back to eliminate it from gasoline and deny funding subsidies for implementing unaffordable alternative energy sources.

Bills funding the Education, Transportation, Interior, EPA, HUD and Labor could include the orderly transfer of authority to the States and halt Agenda 21 implementation.

Bills funding the DOD could separate military foreign aid from a Defense Budget and begin cuts in this foreign aid.

The TEA Party Keeps TEAing Along

For anybody who still doesn’t realize what happened across America on November the 2nd, 2010 let me first say that you saw what millions of Americans called TEA Party members could do when they chose to get involved in politics.

To all of us who have been or are involved in TEA Party Groups across America, we know what happened in 2010 and what will happen again in 2014.

It’s no secret Americans of all ages and colors have had enough of the same old, same old way of doing business in Washington, DC and at our State Capitols. The gridlock there is hurting ALL of us regardless of what political party we belong to.

We the people are who the Politicians that we elect work for. Make no mistake, for those of you who don’t understand or don’t vote, we the people vote them into office and we the people vote them out of office when they’re not doing a good job.

The new group of City, County, State and Federal candidates that were voted in in 2010 will be one of the most scrutinized group ever. This will continue again in 2014.

The American people, TEA Party Groups, various other Patriotic Groups and the World will be watching to see how we deal with our Economic problems including our Budget Deficit. What we do here in the USA could become the model for the rest of the World who is dealing with the same things we are.

Everybody knows we live and deal with a Global Economy and as the USA goes, so goes Europe, Asia, South America and the rest of the World. We have just seen an example of what is wrong in Washington, DC. The ‘my way or the highway’ mentality of a few, the ‘old guard’ is another example of the problem we have in America today.

Now let me address some of the pressing issues the TEA Party will be watching. First of all, the Budget Deficit.

It is part of the TEA Party platform to bring the Federal Deficit as well as State Deficit’s in line. Candidate’s were elected in 2010 who said they would do just that. Candidates running in 2014 had better agree to do the same or they won’t get elected.

It is also part of the TEA Party platform to deal with Illegal Immigration and not ‘fast track’ or use Amnesty to deal with it. The general consensus of the TEA Party movement is if you’re here illegally, you’re here illegally and if we allow you to stay, you go to the end of the longest line or you go home, take your choice.

Illegal Immigration can be contributed to being the # 1 reason for Medicaid and many of our State Budgets being out of whack because the large number of Illegal Aliens are costing the State’s and our Country billions of dollars they can least afford to spend.

One of the main reasons California is so hopelessly in debt is because the Illegal Aliens there are depleting funds needed by the State Government just to pay their State Employees which also include EMS, Firefighters, Police, Teachers and more.

This must stop!

If you take a look at the TEA Party’s “Contract From America,” it tells you all you need to know about the TEA Party’s position in 2014 and beyond.

Here are the 10 Key points of “The Contract From America”:

1) Protect The Constitution and Reject Cap & Trade
2) Demand a Balanced Budget
3) Enact Fundamental Tax Reform
4) Restore Fiscal Responsibility
5) Constitutionally Limited Government
6) End Runaway Government Spending
7) Defund, Repeal or Replace Government Run Health Care
8) Pass an “All of the Above” Energy Policy
9) Stop The Earmarks and the Pork
10) Stop the Tax Hikes

All of these 10 points are a common sense start to the problems faced by America that MUST be dealt with by the new Congress in 2015. Just look at the huge mess that’s been created by the rollout of Obamacare and the website to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars and still counting.

If the Congress fails to deal with the business of “we the people,” the TEA Party and Americans from both sides of the aisle will once again vote them out and start over by putting people in elected office that will do the business of “we the people.”

The TEA Party Movement isn’t going anywhere! It has in fact gotten stronger with many new TEA Party Groups springing up all across America preparing for the 2014 Election where we will once again elect a new Congress.

Let it be said once again loudly and clearly that for those Politicians who do not get the message being sent to them by America and the TEA Party Groups, “You either do the job you were elected to do or we vote you out!”

That’s the American Way, it’s what the Constitution guarantees us and that’s exactly what the power of the American TEA Party Movement is all about. “We the people are the bosses of the Politicians we elect.”

God Bless America and all those who defend, protect and serve her in our Armed Forces keeping all of us free and safe...

Since 2010, the Tea Party has grown in numbers and focus and has been fully engaged in fighting UN Agenda 21 at the State and local level, fighting Regionalism and private property abuses by city councils, county commissions, state and federal agencies, Regional Commissions and their cronies have a myriad of strategies to seize water rights, close farms and destroy entire industries.  Tea Party actions include confronting wasteful regional plans that squander billions on public transit, congestion producing Transit Oriented development (high density apartment complexes). Symptoms are apparent in excessive expansion of parks (green space), multi-use zoning and bike lanes.  Predatory zoning and wide use of eminent domain appear in rural and urban “Comprehensive Plans”. On the federal level it’s property seizure by the EPA and Interior claiming farmland to convert to “Wilding Area” and destructive trade agreements and sovereignty stripping UN treaties.

Many have researched and published articles on HAARP Chemtrails (poison released by airliners), a DOD program that affects weather (like hurricane Sandy), Smart Meters that monitor your appliances and fill you house with microwaves, the building of FEMA camps, the aggressive build-up of an unconstitutional domestic para-military homeland security force.

Add to that onslaught, the raft of federal laws designed to destroy the Constitution and The Bill of Rights and State enabling Regional governance to undermine local voter control and the pitch battle against Common Core, surveillance and Obamacare

There is no longer time to jump on a bus and protest in DC. Happily, the Harley Dudes, Truckers and Veterans have taken up the slack. The Tea Party has joined with all other Constitutional Conservatives. We are taking over the GOP at the State and local level.

What we see is a blitzkrieg of Executive Orders and federal agency actions designed to establish a Socialist Republic with a de facto one party system.  We have read UN Agenda 21 and believe that our Left-wing Socialist politicians and global Marxist dirty money cronies are following the Agenda 21 plan to a tee.

The endgame is a global communist government with no property rights that would destroy the private sector and render us unable to support ourselves.  Wherever this occurs, millions of decenters are murdered.  Our global population is about 7 billion people. UN Agenda 21 states that only 500 million is “sustainable”.

Agenda 21 was justified by the long discredited global warming scam.  The fact that few federal and State elected officials acknowledge the existence of Agenda 21 makes their replacement critical to our survival.

Unless we unleash drilling, mining, harvesting and agriculture and lower corporate tax rates to bring manufacturing back to the U.S. we are doomed.

War on Tea Party

War on Tea Party: GOP Establishment, Big Business Gearing Up for Battle

On November 5, Defending Main Street, one of the most prominent Republican establishment groups formed with the intent of destroying the Tea Party, will meet with wealthy Wall Street donors to begin building up its war chest before the 2014 midterm elections.

As the Associated Press notes, these Republicans believe the Tea Party has "overstayed their welcome in Washington and should be shown the door in next year's congressional elections." Now they are taking action to start raising the money they think will be needed to make that a reality.

"Hopefully we'll go into eight to 10 races and beat the snot out of them," former Rep. Steve LaTourette (R-OH), who is running the group aiming "to raise $8 million to fend off tea party challenges," recently told National Journal. "We're going to be very aggressive and we're going to get in their faces."

Defending Main Street "plans to spend that money on center-right Republicans who face a triumvirate of deep-pocketed conservative groups--Heritage Action, Club for Growth and Freedom Works."

LaTourette expressed his frustrations to the Associated Press, saying that "40, 42 House members have effectively denied the Republican Party the power of the majority" that it won in the 2010 election. He did not acknowledge that Republicans only won that majority on the strength of Tea Party voters who have now accused some of those elected officials of abandoning the intrests of those who elected them.

Yet, groups like Defending Main Street will seek to rid the party of the candidates whom Tea Party voters enthusiastically support for not being co-opted by the Washington establishment once they were elected.

In Michigan, as the Associated Press noted, Republican Reps. Justin Amash and Kerry Bentivolio will face primaries from candidates backed by the business community that has a lot of "pent-up frustration over GOP insurgents roughing up" their agenda. They are being challenged by establishment-backed candidates who would support House Republican leaders when they are at odds with the Tea Party.

Breitbart News has reported on business interests that, largely because of immigration issues, are looking to destroy the Tea Party movement. The Chamber of Commerce, for instance, is also actively researching races in which it can make an impact and take out Tea Party candidates.

According to National Journal, more "establishment Republicans are preparing to attack" conservatives during the upcoming election cycle. The outlet reports that "from Alabama to Alaska, the center-right, business-oriented wing of the Republican Party is gearing up for a series of skirmishes" against conservative and Tea Party candidates.

The Conservative Victory Project, "an arm of the Karl Rove's Crossroads super PAC" that formed with the intention of declaring war on conservative and Tea Party candidates, will play a role.

Jonathan Collegio, of the Rove-affiliated American Crossroads, said they will "make every effort to make sure they're known to every group that spends money long before the primary" if candidates have "skeletons in their closet." He said they did not want to nominate candidates like Christine O'Donnell in Delaware.

These groups are also working together and reportedly discussing tactics such as "running attack ads against tea party candidates for Congress; overthrowing Ron Paul's libertarian acolytes dominating the Iowa and Minnesota state parties; promoting open primaries over nominating conventions"; and "countering political juggernauts Heritage Action, the Club for Growth, and FreedomWorks."

National Journal quotes establishment figures like John Feehery and Rob Jesmer, the former executive director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee who is now a part of Mark Zuckerberg's group that is spending millions to enact comprehensive immigration reform that the Congressional Budget Office determined would depress the wages of working class Americans. Feehery told National Journal, "This is a battle we have to fight. We can't just lie down and let this happen."

Groups like Defending Main Street have been courting big-money interests for donations. It remains to be seen whether they will try to fundraise off of small-dollar donations with tactics employed by the National Republican Senatorial Committee this week, which started harnessing the anger of the grassroots with Obamacare by selling "404 Error" stickers for $25 donations. Should groups like LaTourette's employ similar fundraising tactics, they would effectively be using those small-dollar donations to harm candidates whom the "Main Street" conservative base supports.

For all the talk of ridding the GOP of the Tea Party, though, even the establishment Republicans who are organizing to try to make that happen concede it will be more than a tall order.

National Journal reported that the old guard has been "stumped" because "efforts to roll the tea party typically provoke activists to roar back stronger than ever."

The war between the RINOs and free market conservatives is a direct result of the GOP’s failure to win the Whitehouse in 2008 and 2012 coupled with enabling the transformation of the U.S. into a Socialist Republic.

The free market conservatives include: Independents, Tea Party, Libertarians, Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty, Democrats against Agenda 21 and many other groups.  They recognize that propping up the stock market and the global economy with printed money will result in a deep Depression with high inflation.

Many recognize that most federal government failures stem from unconstitutional usurpation of powers and demand that they return to actually following the Constitution.

Most recognize that the federal government needs to reduce spending, reduce money printing and reverse course to allow what’s left of our economy to stabilize to match real demand.

They all recognize that money printing and loose immigration policies result in trickle up redistribution.
The RINO group of big spenders want to keep printing money to leverage their wealth to include all of your property.  They want to keep kicking the can down the road.

The policies supported by “Defending Main Street” are actually designed to continue trickle up redistribution and the destroy “Main Street” private sector.

US to give $300 million to Muslims

According to the GAO, Obama’s administration will be handing over more than $300 million tax dollars to Muslims to help pay their mortgages. $110 million of this money will be used as loans for businesses located in the West Bank.

The name of the group in charge of this is called the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. According to their website, ““OPIC provides financial products, such as loans and guaranties; political risk insurance; and support for investment funds, all of which help American businesses expand into emerging markets.”

The OPIC is partnering with a group created by the Palestinian Authority president. The GAO notes , ” PIF is governed by a board of directors and a general assembly appointed by the Palestinian Authority President, and manages investments throughout a number of sectors…”

They claim this will help emerging U.S business in the middle-east. Though, some argue this money will be going to terrorist linked groups and businesses.

The OPIC claims all groups who will manage the money have been vetted to make sure the money isn’t going to the wrong people.

What do you think? Why isn’t this money staying in the U.S. where it is needed?

Take no excuses from federal elected officials as you demand reduced federal spending.  These are not “tough decisions”.  This overspending is being done on purpose to ensure trickle up redistribution of your wealth to the global Marxist criminals who own our federal government.

Last Lead Bullet Plant in US Closing

HERCULANEUM About 145 employees of the Doe Run lead smelter have learned they will lose their jobs at the end of December because of the plant’s closure, the Doe Run Co. said Wednesday. An additional 73 contractor jobs also will be eliminated.

The job cuts were expected. The plant, which has operated for more than a century and is the lone remaining lead smelter in the United States, announced in 2010 that it will cease operations at the end of this year.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said the company “made a business decision” to shut down the smelter instead of installing pollution control technologies needed to reduce sulfur dioxide and lead emissions as required by the Clean Air Act.

The Doe Run Co. announced last year that it had dropped plans to build a new lead processing facility in Herculaneum that would have used a new, cleaner lead production technology. The company cited the

$100 million project as too financially risky.

Employees were notified of their future with the company or of their impending layoff between Sept. 30 and Oct. 8 in face-to-face meetings, said Tammy Stankey, a company spokeswoman.

The company will keep about 75 employees into 2014 to operate its refinery and strip mill and to prepare the property “for closure and repurposing.” It expects to have transferred 43 employees to other Doe Run divisions by this year’s end, according to a company statement.

Some operations, such as the water treatment plant, will operate indefinitely, and a maintenance staff will remain to “maintain essential facilities,” the company said.

The company said it had been working with employees for months to help them transition to new roles and had set up a career center to help with resume writing, interviewing and job searches.

“We have a very talented workforce and encourage businesses looking for dedicated, hardworking and skilled employees to contact us,” Gary Hughes, general manager of the smelter, said in the statement.

Administration Warned Healthcare Not Ready

Administration Was Warned Not Ready for Launch

A story published Tuesday evening claims that the Obama administration received "stark warnings" that was not going to be ready for launch. CNN's report is based on a progress report sent from the main contractor, CGI Federal, to CMS.

The document reportedly says that the developers warned there was "not adequate to complete full functional, system, and integration testing activities." The report also notes "CGI does not have access to necessary tools to manage envs in test, imp, and prod. Specifically (1) we don't have access to central log collection / view (2) we don't have access to monitoring tools. We have repeatedly asked CMS and URS but haven ot been granted this access."

Despite these warnings just weeks before launch, a CMS spokesperson told CNN the report was just a "list of things to do." He went on to insinuate that CNN was cherry picking, saying "It is misleading to cherry pick a few lines."

Given the current state of the roll out--with the situation so dire that the administration handed control to an outside company who promised a fix by the end of November--it is self-evident that the problems listed in the progress report were not resolved. Last week it seemed the administration was trying to get ahead of the problem by acknowledging it rather than minimizing the obvious results. The response to CNN seems like a step backward.

CNN says the confidential progress report was delivered to CMS on September 6th, less than a month before the go live date. According to congressional testimony last week, final testing on the site did not begin until about mid-September.

Common Core Likes Unions

New Common Core for 6th Graders: Unions Good Employers Bad

According to Kyle Olson of Education Action Group (EAG) a non-partisan organization that looks to promote education reform, new Common Core Materials are biased against business owners but support unions. Could this have anything to do with NEA biases?
Olson says that schools in more than 40 states have begun teaching students according to the new Common Core math and English standards. A scale depicted in the books shows landowners living well, and having it easy, while worker slave away poorly compensated by greedy owners.

Because of the new standards, thousands of school districts have replaced their previous curriculum with new, Common Core-ready textbooks and teaching materials. Common Core, however did not begin the bias against business and the free markets. Mnay textbook over the years have a litany of complaints against capitalism and the free markets.
A textbook company contracted to produce materials under the Common Core State Standards is trying to teach students as young as second grade about economic fairness by praising unions, protests and labor leader Cesar Chavez, according to an education watchdog group.

Zaner-Bloser, which is based in Columbus, Ohio, is distributing a lesson plan aimed at teaching second-graders about “equality” by highlighting labor issues, according to EAG. As part of the plan, students spend a week reading “Harvesting Hope,” a book about Chavez written by children’s author Kathleen Krull, and then discuss what the lesson plan calls “scales of fairness,” which compare the living conditions of farm workers to that of land owners.
“Fairness and equality exist when the scales are balanced,” teachers are prompted to instruct the students. They are then supposed to ask the students whether both sides, as presented in the plan, are equal, providing a correct answer of “no” in the teachers’ guides.

“Why are we teaching organized labor lessons to young children?” asked Kyle Olson, the publisher of the group’s website. “Isn’t there a simpler way to teach about fairness, like saying it’s not fair if Johnny works all day and gets one piece of candy while Jimmy plays video games all day and gets the same piece of candy?”
It was not immediately clear how many districts are using Zaner-Bloser’s materials. But the company on Wednesday evening defended the Common Core standards and said Education Action Group was targeting one lesson plan instead of viewing the program as a whole.

Chavez, who died in 1993, is considered an icon of the American labor movement and Latino community for his efforts to unionize field workers across the country.  Last year, the Cesar E. Chavez National Monument was dedicated in Keene, California, an event at which President Obama spoke.
This isn’t the first time Olson has taken issue with Zaner-Bloser’s materials. Earlier this month, Olson ripped the company for teaching third-graders about organizing protests, a lesson plan that cited the 1985 SEIU-led janitors strike in Los Angeles.

It appears that growing public opposition to Common Core now include concerns that Common Core materials are biased against the free markets.

Quit the UN - HR 75

HR 75- New bill proposed by Rep. Paul Broun to end US participation in the UN

HR 75, The American Sovereignty Restoration Act is being proposed by Representative Paul Broun Georgia (10) that will end all US participation in the United Nations. Repealing the many ties our country has with this clandestine organization is fueling our demise from within while using the many NGOs (Non Governmental Organizations) as willing tools.
As the United Nations grows stronger and is given more authority, our sovereignty dwindles with it. The quest to become an International leader is dependent on the acceptance of the UN as that leader. To date the sovereign citizens of the United States are not yet ready for that to happen.

This is why this bill is so important. We need and must get the United Nations out of every fiber of our country before they destroy it and all she stands for.
This bill, as of January 4th, 2013 has been submitted to committee by Representative Paul Broun. We need to get this out of committee and on to the House and Senate floor for approval.

2 simple steps to get this out of committee and those on the committee must feel the pressure to do so and that pressure must come from you and quickly.
1) Place a phone call to the Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee – Rep. Ilaena Ros-Lehtinan (R-FL27)  202-225-3931.  Ask Chairman Lehtinan to move this bill out of committee as soon as possible.

2) Go to the website POP VOX to read the text of the bill and send a message to your Congressman at the link below:

Immigration & Unemployment Revisited

Immigration Numbers Revisited

Legal Immigrant Temporary Workers and Families admitted to the US totaled 21 million from 2004 to 2012 averaging 2.34 million a year.   It increased from 1.5 million in 2004 to 3 million in 2012.  The 3 million in 2012 includes 700 thousand (NAFTA) company transferees and 700 thousand Canadians and Mexicans (TN) work permits.  Green Cards are issued at the 1 million a year rate, but actual work permits issued could go to up to 3 million a year.

3 million a year is a lot higher than the 1.5 million to 1.9 million number that appeared in print over the past few years.

It still looks reasonable to estimate that 1.8 million legal immigrants soak up jobs as they join the 1.8 million new grads to look for 1.8 million jobs created in any given year.

HIB visas for engineers has been relatively flat, averaging 469 thousand a year from 2004 through 2012.  Silicon Valley has failed to get this number to budge.  It’s only 15% of the total 3 million.

Agricultural H2A visas for agricultural workers also remained flat, averaging just 84 thousand per year from 2004 through 2012.  We were told the farmers need temporary immigrant workers, but It doesn’t look like this is a big deal.

F1 Student visas for 2012 totaled 1.6 million.  This has been going on for decades, but we only grant 469 thousand H1B visas a year, so do the remaining 1.1 million just graduate and go back to their home country ?

Non-immigrant visas are granted for foreign Investors (E1) has increased by 100 thousand for the past 3 years, averaging 400 thousand a year.

Source: Department of Homeland Security,

Other countries have had our lousy unemployment number for decades, because they went to big government socialism.  In past decades, the US government set their immigration policy based on job availability.  After all, this was the country that was established on the wisdom of having the citizenry support itself.  This is apparently no longer the case.

Our “free trade” agreements have striped the US of manufacturing jobs. Our immigration policy has contributed to our high unemployment.

The environmental lobby has shut down our timber harvesting, mineral mining and they are working on shutting down oil and gas drilling and coal mining.

Our treaties and immigration policies have kicked US citizens under the bus.  The claim that immigrants “create jobs” may be true for investors, but not for the other 87%.  Those who go into business for themselves often only provide jobs for themselves and their relatives.

Our US economy is being decimated on purpose by the federal government, using treaties, trade agreements and immigration policy.

Obama is giving us a “dress rehearsal” for Socialism.  Those of us who actually prefer a free economy are not amused.

Tea Party Defended by Cheney

Dick Cheney calls tea party a boon to GOP

Countering many of his Republican colleagues, former Vice President Dick Cheney said Monday the tea party is actually a positive movement for the GOP.
“It’s an uprising, in part, and the good thing is it’s taken place within the Republican Party,” he said on NBC’s “Today.” “I don’t see it as a negative. I think it’s much better to have that kind of ferment and turmoil and change in the Republican Party than it would be to have it outside.”

Mr. Cheney said that if it wasn’t for the tea party, his daughter, Liz, might not be seeking to unseat Wyoming Sen. Mike Enzi. Her campaign was “partly motivated” by concerns expressed by tea party members who decry high taxes, high national debt and the looming financial obligations from Obamacare.

Mr. Cheney said he admired the tea party for fighting the good fight.
“I’m not a card-carrying member [of the tea party] — I don’t know if there is a card — but I’ve got a lot of respect for what the people are doing,” he said. “These are Americans. They’re loyal, they’re patriotic, they’re taxpayers and they’re fed up with what they see happening in Washington.”

Mr. Cheney said he didn’t blame the tea party for causing an unrepairable schism within the Republican Party.

It’s all just part of the new waves of political thought that hit at Congress and Capitol Hill from time to time, he said, citing a “new generation of political leaders” in the late 1970s that included Newt Gingrich, who foretold of a Republican majority.  “And he was right,” Mr. Cheney said of Mr. Gingrich’s prediction.
