Military “Attitude” Questionnaires

No this is not about Education! Education comes in many forms and given the times, different actions being taken within our current military, our country and the questions about how and why some of the military leaders have left our military forces, I thought a History class was called for.

With the recent events of the Navy Seals Team 6 Exploration 17 and Benghazi - lies, deception and murder of our fellowmen and soldiers in arms, I think a heavy reminder of the 29 Palms, California event is extremely important.

COMBAT ARMS SURVEY: This questionnaire is to gather data concerning the attitudes of combat trained personnel with regard to nontraditional missions. All of your responses are confidential. Write your answers directly on the questionnaire form. In Part II, place an "X" in the space provided for your response.

This is a copy of the actual survey that Lt. Commander Ernest Guy Cunningham gave on May 10, 1994 at 29 Palms Naval Base in California to a group of Marines.  <http://29palmssurvey.com/survey.html>

Presented with a list of 45 questions, our military was asked where their loyalties fell - to America, the American people, the Commander in Chief or the United Nations. The questions asked even put our soldiers in a situation as to choosing between family and friends or the United Nations.

Some of you were very young when this took place - others of us were shocked and angry that our military would be asked to answer questions such as those that were given to them. Men and women in America have always been known to have joined the military with the possibility of placing their lives on the line being a given.

But for the possibility of our government to ask our military to choose between their country, family, friends or the United Nations and to take an order to turn their weapons against their own countrymen - - for what?

Because an order had been given by the president of the United States for all citizens to turn in their weapons/arms!

I don't think you have to be reminded that Secretary of State John Kerry just signed the Arms Treaty with the United Nations. Though the treaty has not been ratified by the U.S. Senate, members of Congress have stated their concerns. <http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/09/25/kerry-signs-un-arms-treaty-senators-threaten-to-block-it/>

U.S. lawmakers, though, have long claimed the treaty could lead to new gun control measures. They note the U.S. Senate has final say on whether to approve the agreement.

Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., in a letter to President Obama, urged his administration not to take any action to implement the treaty without the consent of the Senate. Is Corker saying he is afraid of another unconstitutional Executive Order?

Corker's statement claimed the treaty raises "fundamental issues" concerning "individual rights protected by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution."

We all know the current administration have actively been working toward the removal of our weapons from Americans.  Now in fairness we will also report that Lt. Commander Ernest Guy Cunningham gave this survey not for the federal government, but for his own research.

Anxious to defend himself from charges he is pro-UN, Cunningham repeatedly contended in his interview with THE NEW AMERICAN (American Legion magazine) that he is no enemy of America and no participant in any plan to demoralize U.S. troops. He maintained emphatically that he wanted only to confirm and then pass on to higher authorities his fears about "the lack of knowledge among the soldiers about the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and their heritage as Americans." He added: "I'm a life member of the National Rifle Association, an ardent constitutionalist, and I'm even disappointed with the NRA spokesmen who don't do a very good job defending their position." http://jpfo.org/articles-assd/29palms-mcmanus.htm

"Do you realize," Cunningham stated during our telephone interview, "that 85.3 percent agreed with assigning troops to a mission that violates the Posse Comitatus Act?" This Act states that "it shall not be lawful to employ any part of the Army of the United States, as a Posse Comitatus [power of the county], or otherwise, for the purpose of executing the laws, except [when] authorized by the Constitution or by act of Congress."

Presented to you in this posting is a pause for reflection and an open call for awareness, to be awake, and attentive. I urge you to take the time to listen to this interview with Dr. Jim Garrow (recently let go from the CIA)! If you are not religious go to the point of time 36:34 to listen.
