In the wake of
the protests that have been held across the country following the decisions of
grand juries in the cases of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, a black
radical Muslim leader is inciting greater violence. Louis Farrakhan spoke recently on the campus of Morgan
State University, a primarily black college located in Baltimore, Maryland.
Farrakhan is leader of the Nation of Islam.
Peacefulness,
Farrakhan told the loudly cheering crowd, is only in the interest of “white
folks.” “We are going to die anyway,” he said. “Let’s die for something.”
A report
in the Daily Caller says Farrakhan
said the violence happening now in the country is justified. He says it is fair
retaliation for the grand jury decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson. He
held up what appeared to be a copy of the NOI version of the Koran and said,
In
this book, there’s a law for retaliation. A law for retaliation.
As long as they [whites] kill us
[blacks] and go to Wendy’s and have a burger and go to sleep, they’ll keep
killing us. But when we die and they die, then soon we’re going to sit at a
table and talk about it! We’re tired! We want some of this earth or we’ll tear
this goddamn country up!
Farrakhan
attacked President Obama and Attorney General Holder and the other black
leaders who are asking for restraint, saying they are doing the bidding of
white people. He said,
…our
president has come out from behind the curtain to ask young black people: “Cool
it. That’s not our way.” I heard you, Mr. President; and I asked myself a
question: What brings you out of the shadows?
And you preachers: Your day of being
the pacifier for the white man’s tyranny upon black people, you got to know
they’re [young blacks] not going to hear you anymore!
He advised
parents of teenagers to teach their children how to throw Molotov cocktails.
“Teach your baby how to throw the bottle if they can. Fight!” He drew back his
arm and parodied throwing an explosive device.
Clearly, it is
not only Middle Eastern Muslims who are seeing to remake the world their own
way through violence. In this case, Farrakhan’s audience responded with a
standing ovation.
