Close Down the Federal Beast

Constitutional Republicans want to close most federal departments and agencies in order to reduce federal spending and reduce the debt.  Most of us want to quit the UN and end the Fed. This group contains Campaign for Liberty and Tea Partiers, but also large groups of other Conservatives, more than you would think. 

We are shocked at the size of the national debt and unfunded liabilities.  Our federal government is technically bankrupt. The lack of concern among our elected officials is stunning. 

We know our history, so we know that federal overspending is unnecessary and harmful to our freedom and ability to earn a living to continue to be economically self-sufficient.  It appears that our elected officials actually want to dumb down our schools and destroy our economy on purpose.

We also know that this was not the case over 100 years ago, when our federal officials attempted to comply with the US Constitution and 10^th Amendment.  Education and Health Care were individual responsibilities with no government subsidies.  Government got involved and costs are now unsustainable.

We’ve seen the quality of education disintegrate proportionate to government involvement.  We realize that recent homeschoolers are advancing well beyond their public school peers.

We’ve seen the cost of health care soar with no advances in discovering cures.  All the cost goes to treatment of illnesses that have no cures.  We believe government subsidies have doomed healthcare to reinvent itself without subsidies.

As we look at the other unconstitutional activities the federal government is funding and controlling, most of these activities are doing harm and none are worth the cost.

When we look at reducing federal spending, we propose closing all unconstitutional federal departments and agencies. We see merit in closing these federal agencies and transferring responsibilities to the states and the people.

We would leave the federal government with $3 trillion a year in revenue.  We would earmark $1 trillion a year to pay off and wind down Social Security, $1 trillion a year to pay off the debt and $1 trillion a year to operate the federal government, limited to its 14 enumerated powers listed in the US Constitution.
