Remove Grants to States

The federal government sends printed and borrowed money to all 50 states.  These grants have strings attached that amount to extortion to guarantee the “cooperation” of state legislatures to go along with destructive federal programs and policies.  These Grants to States average 31% of the state’s budgets.  The total of all 50 states’ budgets is $1,881,000,000, that’s almost $2 trillion a year.  Grants to States total 31% of state budgets or $583 billion.  Winding this down would balance the federal budget and end the scheduled increase in the national debt.
In Georgia, our state budget is $19.9 billion and our 31% share of grants to states is $617 million.  We have a population of 10 million and we can do this.
