editor Katie Pavlich recently appeared on Fox
News’ The Kelly File . She was making the case that the U.S.
Department of Justice is working to reduce gun sales by “bullying” bankers to
refuse to do business with gun stores and other gun-related businesses. And,
she says, the initiative is working.
Pavlich
was on Fox News’ The Kelly File last night and told guest host Shannon Bream
that three online pay services–Pay Pal, Square and Stripe–have dropped gun
stores as clients because the feds have listed gun sellers as risky
business–like kiddie porn purveyors.
She
says big banks are also bowing to DOJ’s pressure because the government is
pummeling banks that do business with gun stores with subpoenas–which makes
dealing with gun stores a big, fat nuisance. As a result, she told Bream, gun
store owners are being cut off:
“They’re
seeing their accounts being frozen, they’re seeing their transactions cut off
without any warning, and so it’s a real problem for these small businesses, a
lot of which are family owned, when they don’t have access to their money and
their businesses get stalled.”
As
the Washington Times reported in May, the feds are successfully pressuring
banks by putting their reputations on the line:
“This
administration has very clearly told the banking industry which customers they
feel represent ‘reputational risk’ to do business with,” said Peter Weinstock,
a lawyer at Hunton & Williams LLP.
“So
financial institutions are reacting to this extraordinary enforcement arsenal
by being ultra-conservative in who they do business with: Any companies that
engage in any margin of risk as defined by this administration are being
dropped.”
The
net effect, of course, is that the Department of Justice is interfering with
the Second Amendment rights of Americans, completely separate from the
legislative process. They are also undercutting the livelihood of small
businesses.

Most other dictatorships have disarmed their
populations to ensure that their citizens cannot protect themselves from these
dictators or their friends. The UN fully
endorses this kind of gun bans, because the UN is full of dictatorships. The Whitehouse is eager to embrace every
inappropriate rule the UN attempts to impose. So, as the worlds’ leading
dictatorship, the US government is attempting to implement this UN plan.
