Leave local government gasoline sales taxes alone and let
them handle county and city roads, streets and bridges.
If part of the rationale for having the Interstate system
is the movement of goods. We should note that Interstates that go through large
cities actually delay the movement of goods.
Where possible, future interstate development should include a bypass
highway. If the trucks need to come into the city, fine, but if they don’t they
should be able to bypass these cities without losing any time. Atlanta is certainly one city in need of a
bypass. Next is Nashville TN.
