State Rankings by GDP 2015

Wikipedia reports State Rankings by State GDP. This kind of raw data is a good place to start.  This data represents total GDP, which includes government spending.  A better measure of economic health would be the “production” coming out of a State. This State GDP does give some indication of where money is spent.
It doesn’t represent the best place to live. California is out of water. People continue to bail out of New York. Illinois is in deep debt. States with a high percent of federal land are stifled.
