UN Arms Trade Treaty Stopped

This is a victory for upholding the 2nd Amendment Right to Bear Arms.
The US Senate refused to ratify the UN Arms Trade Treaty in a vote of 53 Republicans against and 46 Democrats voting for ratification.   The origins of this treaty go back to the late 1990, when it was limited to regulating arms dealers.  In its current form, UN Resolution 2117 expanded to banning citizen gun ownership.
If this had passed, the Supreme Court would have intervened, but Obama will continue to try to ban gun ownership through city and county ordinances, where allowed.
Most UN member countries are dictatorships where the ruling oligarchies are anxious to disarm its citizens. Most of these have ratified the treaty.
