John McCain told IRS to target conservatives

BREAKING: John McCain Pressured Obama IRS’s Lois Lerner to Attack Tea Party Conservatives Government WatchHEADLINES April 9, 2015 Matthew K. Burke 4
It wasn’t just the Obama Regime and the Democrats who were scheming with the Obama IRS to attack the freedom-loving, Constitution-supporting Tea Party grassroots movement.
It was establishment-backed Republican Senator John McCain, an unabashed enemy of conservatives who once called his conservative colleagues, “wacko birds.”
According to a new IRS documents discovered by government watchdog group Judicial Watch, “retired” former Obama IRS head of exempt organizations, Lois Lerner, was pressured by both Democrat Senator Carl Levin and Republican Senator John McCain to rein in political advocacy groups.
In May 2013, Judicial Watch reveals an email communications which show coordination between Lerner, Sen. Levin and Sen. McCain:
A May 1, 2013, email exchange between Lois Lerner and other top IRS staffers revealed that 11 days prior to Lerner’s admission in a ABA meeting that the IRS had “inappropriately” targeted conservative groups, she met with select top staffers from the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee in a “marathon” meeting to discuss concerns raised by both Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI) and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) that the IRS was not reining in political advocacy groups in response to the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision.

Senator McCain had been the chief sponsor of the McCain-Feingold Act and called the Citizens United decision, which overturned portions of the Act, one of the “worst decisions I have ever seen.” Among those attending the meeting were key aides to the committee minority ranking member, John McCain: Wednesday, May 1, 2013 10:26 AM — Lois Lerner to Nikole Flax and others: Yesterday’s marathon went well thanks to “the village.” Glad to have all of you as part of that village. Wednesday, May 1, 2013 12:23 PM – Sinno Suzanne [IRS Legislative Counsel] to Lerner and others:
I also took notes so I can compare and make sure we captured everything.

The staffers are below.

Laura Stuber (Majority Senior Counsel)
Elise Bean (Majority Staff Director and Majority Chief Counsel)
Kaye Meier (Senior Counsel for Senator Levin)
Henry Kerner (Minority Staff Director and Minority Chief Counsel)
Stephanie Hall (Minority Counsel)
Scott Wittmann (Minority Research Assistant)
Lerner, part of what has repeatedly claimed to be the “most transparent administration in history,” twice refused to testify before Congress, even though she publicly admitted politically targeting groups based upon search terms like “Tea Party” or “Patriots” in the groups names.
McCain, who replaced the retiring Barry Goldwater in 1987, announced this week that he will seek re-election in 2016, when he will be 80 years old.
Conservative Review gives McCain, considered a big government RINO (Republican-in-Name-Only) by principled conservatives, a rating of “F,” for his support of amnesty, bailouts, Obamacare, and deficit spending

Senator John McCain (R-AZ), 32 years in Congress
Conservative Scorecards rate John McCain low compared to real conservative legislators.  That means that John McCain has voted for unconstitutional bills and excessive spending.
Conservative Review   43% F
New American Freedom Index   64%
Heritage Action    64%
A war hero is one who grabs the machine gun, runs up the hill and mows down the enemy to protect his troops. McCain did put himself in harms’ way and did his duty, but was more of a war victim.
The fact that John McCain was a POW might have given him an edge in being elected to Congress in 1983, but since then, he has not distinguished himself as a real small government, constitutional conservative. He often votes with the Democrats and always votes with the RINOs.  Arizona is not a strong Red State and McCain is probably a Democrat in Republican’s clothing. We have plenty of that in Georgia.
Most who served in the Congress have failed to prevent our $18 trillion debt, our $120 trillion unfunded liabilities, our 104 million working age US citizens without jobs and our off-shoring of manufacturing with trade deals.
Worse, McCain is one who conducted a wimpy Presidential campaign and didn’t prevent Obama from winning in 2008 and that is his legacy.
Norb Leahy, Dunwoody GA Tea Party Leader
