Muslims cheered the Twin Towers destruction

New Jersey Muslims Celebrated 9/11: Trump Was Right, Posted 11/23/15, by Sean Gibbons.

Donald Trump refuses to retract his controversial claim that he saw "thousands" of people cheering in Jersey City, N.J., " when the World Trade Center came tumbling down" on Sept. 11, 2001. After all, why retract a claim that happens to be true?

"There were people that were cheering on the other side of New Jersey, where you have large Arab populations. They were cheering as the World Trade Center came down," the likely Republican candidate said this past week.

The Mayor of Jersey city accused Trump of “shamefully politicizing an emotionally charged issue.” The Anti-Defamation League called the comments "irresponsible" and a "variation of the anti-Semitic myth that a group of Israelis were seen celebrating as the Twin Towers fell.”  According to a November, 2001 article by the Washington Post, such celebrations did occur.

“In Jersey City, within hours of two jetliners' plowing into the World Trade Center, law enforcement authorities detained and questioned a number of people who were allegedly seen celebrating the attacks and holding tailgate-style parties on rooftops while they watched the devastation on the other side of the river.”

In an email on Dec. 16, 2003, Steven Kovaleski, one of the reporters who researched the Post story,  indicated that his information had come from the Jersey City Police Department, and that he had confirmed the JCPD’s information via interviews of eyewitnesses of the celebration.”

Because being politically correct now means lying, an honest claim like Donald’s is bound to garner criticism. The media has come out in strength to attack Mr. Trump, but they appear unable to look back in their own archives and see the validity of such claims. Liberals just hate when facts get in the way of their fiction.
