A non-profit watchdog group’s lawsuit against the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration may have spurred the agency to release documents to a congressional committee that reveal a “new climate data scandal.” Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit Dec. 2, 2015, against NOAA “regarding methodology for collecting and interpreting data used in climate models,” the group said Tuesday.

The House Committee on Science, Space and Technology subpoenaed the same documents earlier this year, but NOAA refused to hand the records over until a few days after Judicial Watch filed its lawsuit.

“We have little doubt that our lawsuit helped to pry these scandalous climate change report documents from the Obama administration,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said. “Given the lawless refusal to comply with our FOIA request and a congressional subpoena, we have little doubt that the documents will show the Obama administration put politics before science in advance of global warming alarmism.”

The documents revealed a “new climate data scandal,” Judicial Watch said in announcing the suit. “Information provided to the committee by whistleblowers appears to show that the study was rushed to publication despite the concerns and objections of a number of NOAA employees,” according to the committee.

Committee Chairman Lamar Smith wrote recently that “NOAA often fails to consider all available data in its determinations and climate change reports to the public.”

The Texas Republican also noted that a recent NOAA study made adjustments to historical temperature records, which led the findings to refute a nearly two-decade pause to global warming.

The Judicial Watch’s lawsuit was filed after the Department of Commerce, which governs NOAA, failed to respond to an Oct. 30 Freedom of Information Act request seeking communications between NOAA’s officials regarding how climate data is collected, analyzed and used. Smith subpoenaed the agency for the same documents on Oct. 13, and sent a total of four letters to NOAA requesting the information.

It is useful to remind ourselves of the 40-year old history of that UN-led conspiracy. It started in the 1970’s by the announcement of the coming “New Ice Age” scam (remedy = our unilateral disarmament; the big guru of Global warming hoax is Dr. Hansen who started his young career by that New Ice Age scam); when that panic petered out in the 1990’s (after Reagan destroyed the Soviet Union) it continued by the announcement of the man-made catastrophic “Global Warming” hoax (remedy = UN-sponsored world socialist government to “spread the wealth around” and “reduce” the world population from the existing 6.5 billion down to the “sustainable” level of 1.5 billion); after 20 consecutive years of considerable global cooling that panic was replaced by the “Climate Change” flimflam (so whatever happens with our climate – do “something”!) and now by the “Cap & Trade” power grab with the purpose of nationalizing our energy companies. Whatever that coterie of government-paid drones controlled by the far-left UN Panel “specialists” is cooking up by means of faked data, reverse graphs (another guru of that conspiracy Dr. Mann “confused” cause and effect in his “hockey stick” graphs), and erroneous calculations – the final aim is to empower a new UN-sponsored world socialist government authorized to “spread the wealth around” and so save the planet from a sure annihilation caused by “the rapacious and irresponsible criminal capitalists”. Simon Mouer ·  Licensed Professional Engineer (Retired) at Consulting Engineer Hopefully the next administration will fire those government employees who have been engaging in this massive fraud of "climate change" There is a hidden agenda in that so called "climate change" (ne global warming) is a lynch pin in the far left plan to implement global wealth redistribution by way of so-called "Cap & Trade" -- which is a scheme that would require rich nations (alleged polluters) to buy surplus "carbon credits" from poor nations (allededly non-polluters).  Cap & Trade would do absolutely nothing for gobal warming (if it really were happening), but that was never its intents. This is all ridiculous as the facts are very simple: CO2 is a “trace gas” in air and is insignificant by definition. It absorbs 1/7th as much IR, heat energy, from sunlight per molecule as water vapor which has 188 times as many molecules capturing 1200 times as much heat producing 99.8% of all “global warming.” CO2 does only 0.2% of it. For this we should destroy our economy, starve the world, cause hunger, riots and wars?  There is no “greenhouse effect” in an atmosphere. A greenhouse has a solid, clear cover trapping heat. The atmosphere does not trap heat as gas molecules cannot form surfaces to work as greenhouses that admit and reflect energy depending on sun angle. Gases do not form surfaces as their molecules are not in contact. The Medieval Warming from 800 AD to 1300 AD Micheal Mann erased for his “hockey stick” was several Fahrenheit degrees warmer than anything “global warmers” fear. It was 500 years of world peace and abundance, longest ever. Vostock Ice Core data analysis show CO2 rises followed temperature by 800 years 19 times in 450,000 years. Therefore temperature change is cause and CO2 change is effect. This alone refutes the anthropogenic global warming hypothesis.
Methane is called “a greenhouse gas 20 to 500 times more potent than CO2,” by Heidi Cullen and Jim Hansen, but it is not per the energy absorption chart at the American Meteorological Society. It has an absorption profile very similar to nitrogen which is classified “transparent” to IR, heat waves and is only present to 18 ppm. “Vegans” blame methane in cow flatulence for global warming in their war against meat consumption. Carbon combustion generates 80% of our energy. Control and taxing of carbon would give the elected ruling class more power and money than anything since the Magna Carta of 1215 AD.  Most scientists and science educators work for tax supported institutions.
