Trump 47.9% Clinton 38.5% in NH

SWING STATE SHOCK: Trump Takes Huge 9-Point Lead

A new poll showed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump jumping ahead of Democrat rival Hillary Clinton in a highly contested swing state. Inside Sources partnered with the New Hampshire Journal and surveyed a random sample of 1,166 registered voters. The results showed Trump leading Clinton 47.9 percent to 38.5 percent in New Hampshire. The poll was conducted July 19-21 and had a margin of error of +/- 5.1 percent.

Not good news for the Clinton Camp. In fact, these results appeared to be a part of growing trend that has Democrats worried. So worried, in fact, that campaign manager Robby Mook sent an email to supporters to raise awareness (not to mention funds) regarding it, reported The Hill. “Poll after poll is showing that Trump has been eating away at our lead, and after his convention, he’s erased it entirely,” Mook said.

Mook surmised that some of Trump’s lead was the traditional bounce candidates get after their conventions — although that hasn’t happened for a Republican since 2000 — but “that doesn’t make these next few weeks any less critical.” Mook also asked supporters to donate at least $1 toward Clinton’s campaign. “With the polls leaning in the wrong direction, your contribution has never been more critical,” he wrote.

After lagging behind Clinton since May, Trump has picked up steam. The RealClearPolitics average of national polls showed Trump leading Clinton 45.6 percent to 44.7 percent.

Several other recent polls have shown the Republican nominee with a slight lead over Clinton. A CNN/ORC poll also released on Monday showed Trump with a 6-point lead.
Statistician and analyst Nate Silver also said Monday that if the general election happened today, Trump would be favored to win.

It’s not hard to see why Trump has been eating away at Clinton’s lead and appealing to more voters. The Democrat Party cannot stop reeling from one scandal before it finds itself embroiled in another. And from the looks of it, there could be more scandals in the near future.
