Trump's Economic

On
Friday, the republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced his team
of economic advisors, some top names from Wallstreet, real estate, think tanks
and academia.
According
to the campaign, Trumps policy initiatives will focus on "empowering
Americans by freeing up the necessary tools for everyone to gain
economically."
He
has repeatedly promised to create jobs, specifically in manufacturing, many of
which are being fulfilled in roles overseas.
"For
too long we have watched as President Obama and Hillary Clinton have ruined our
economy and decimated the middle class," said Trump. "I am going to
be the greatest jobs president our country has ever seen."
To
clean up the US economic mess will be no easy feat and will take a stellar team
of experts. Trump plans to bring financial and real estate moguls who
will help him act as a change agent for the American economy.
The
team includes–
Tom Barrack, founder of the private equity firm Colony
Capital, who has had former experience in the White House as the deputy
undersecretary of the interior department under the Reagan administration.
Stephan Calk, founder of Federal Savings Bank and
National Bancorp Holdings, a company with a mission to increase home ownership
among veterans.
Andy Beal, founder of Beal Bank and other financial
firms, a Dallas-based businessman was also a college dropout and is a
self-taught mathematician and lover of Poker.
Dan Dimicco, former CEO of the large steel production
company Nucorp and author of a book on the topic of revitalizing the
manufacturing industry.
Harold Hamm, chief executive of the oil and natural gas
producer Continental Resources, who had spoken at the Republican convention on
Trumps behalf.
Steven
Feinberg, co-founder of the private
equity firm Cerberus Capital Management, which a focus on distressed assets.
David Malpass, who also has experience in the White House
as the deputy assistant treasury Secretary under President Reagan and the
deputy assistant Secretary of State under President George W. Bush.
Howard Lorber, CEO of Vector Group and real estate mogul.
Steven Mnuchin, CEO of the private investment firm Dune
Capital and former executive at Goldman Sachs.
Stephan Moore, founder of Club for Growth and chief
economist for the conservative Heritage Foundation.
Peter Navarro, stock market guru and professor of
Economics and Public Policy at the Paul Merage School of Business, University
of California. He also holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard
University.
Steven Roth, CEO of Vornado Realty Trust, which develops
and manages office and rental properties in NYC, DC, Chicago and San Fran.
John Paulson, president of the Hedge Fund Paulson &
Co, you may have learned his story in the recent film, The Big Short, where he
made billions betting against the housing bubble in 2006.
So
