Female Counterterror Officer at Scotland Yard: 'I

The
fear of breaking society’s all-too-important standards on political correctness
sometimes leads governments to give special protections to targeted minority
groups. This is exactly what’s happening to the new Muslim population in parts
of Europe.
We
first saw this troubling trend in Germany, where police officers began to (or
were instructed to) downplay or ignore crimes committed by refugees to maintain
desirable statistics. A German police officer told Bild newspaper in January that German law enforcement is unable
to handle crime among refugees without being accused of violence or racism.
“At
the train station [in Munich], women are sexually harassed and offended on
regular basis,” he said.
Sexual
violence is increasing rapidly in several countries that have opened their
doors to Muslim refugees, and most governments have responded not by arresting
these perpetrators, but by issuing warnings to women to stay covered and avoid
going out alone after dark.
London
As
reported by The Federalist, the
London police force is harboring and protecting Muslim extremists within its
own ranks.
Javaria
Saaed was a member of the counterterrorism force at Scotland Yard in London.
When she reported extremist behavior from fellow officers to her superiors, she
expected her worries to be taken seriously.
Instead,
her superiors informed her to mind her own business, adding that ongoing
pursuit of this issue would hurt her “career progression and tarnish [her]
reputation.”
Saeed believes that her superiors refused to punish
her fellow officers to avoid being labeled racist.
According to Saeed, some of her Muslim coworkers
expressed the following opinions:

Female genital mutilation should be legal
•
Women should report instances of domestic violence to Sharia courts, not to the
local police
•
To address security problems, Pakistan needs a “strict religious solution…like
the Taliban”
•
Saeed would be “better off at home looking after [her] husband”
•
Saeed is a “bad Muslim” because she does not cover her hair.
The men and women advocating these ideas are the
same men and women responsible for keeping terrorists out of London.
Sickened
by the fact that her superiors let this kind of activity go on unpunished,
Saeed quit her job.
A Double Standard
The
situation with Scotland Yard’s counterterrorism division exemplifies a shocking
double standard for Muslims living in the West. As Saeed pointed out, a white
officer expressing any of the opinions outlined above would have been
fired.
Imagine
what would happen if Christians started telling women to go home and stay out
of the workplace. And yet, a Muslim man’s opinion that a woman should be no
more than a housewife is accepted as part of his culture?
Tensions
have grown between Muslims and non-Muslims in Europe and America as the ongoing
migrant crisis pushes more and more Muslims into these areas. “Many in the West
have decided that the solution is to carve out special solutions for Muslims
and treat them with kid gloves,” writes Texas journalist MG Oprea.
This
is a wrong, condescending line of thought. The best hope we have for
co-existing peacefully with our new Muslim neighbors is to invite them to
participate in our society, to join our culture, and to hold them to the exact
same standards to which we hold everyone else.
Editor's note: Can you imagine any non-Muslim in the work
place telling a woman her genitals should be mutilated? And be absolutely
sincere (in its hate and vitriol)? Knowing that the Mayor of the City she is
dedicated to protect will supports their right to say it? This would be a
multi-million dollar lawsuit in many cases.
