Trump vows to immediately deport up to 3 million
undocumented immigrants, by Mike Murphy, 11/14/16
President-elect Donald Trump said
Sunday he intends to deport or incarcerate as many as 3 million undocumented immigrants
once he takes office.
“What we are going to do is get the
people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers,
where a lot of these people, probably two million, it could be even three
million, we are getting them out of our country or we are going to
incarcerate,” Trump told CBS’s Lesley Stahl during an interview on “60 Minutes”
to be aired Sunday night. “But we’re getting them out of our country, they’re
here illegally.”
Trump said that after tackling the
criminal element and securing the borders, “we are going to make a
determination” on what to do with other undocumented immigrants. “They’re
terrific people but we are gonna make a determination at that,” Trump said.
Trump also said he’s determined to
build a wall along the border with Mexico, but will accept fencing in some
places. “For certain areas, I would. But for certain areas a wall is more
appropriate,” Trump said. “I’m very good at this. It’s called construction.”

Trump's Priorities in First 100 Days
President-elect Donald Trump has a
laundry list of priorities for his first 100 days in office, and with a
Republican majority in Congress, he is likely to implement many new policies.
He also credited social media for
his stunning election victory, and said he planned to remain active on Twitter,
though “I’m going to be very restrained.” “It’s a great form of communication,”
Trump said of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, where he said he has a combined
28 million followers. “I think it helped me win all of these races where
they’re spending much more money than I spent. And I won. I think that social
media has more power than the money they spent, and I think maybe to a certain
extent, I proved that,” Trump said.
In other parts of the interview,
Trump: Said he had not made up his mind on
whether to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton.
“They’re good people. I don’t want to hurt them,” he said of the Clintons.

was settled by the Supreme Court and he’s “fine” with that.
He did not find abortion as settled,
saying that if Roe vs. Wade were to be overturned, women seeking abortions
“perhaps have to go they’ll have to go to another state. . . . That has a long,
long way to go,” he said.
Said that while he plans to “drain
the swamp” of Washington insiders, he has no choice but to hire them now.
“That’s the problem with the system,” he said. “The whole place is one big
lobbyist.” Trump said he would phase them out of his administration over time.
Said he won’t put his business into
a blind trust, but doesn’t need a salary as president. “I think I have to by
law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year.”
