A lighter
version of our liberal political indoctrination in public schools is to focus
on the poor American Indians. From the beginning in 1620 we European Colonists
abused the American Indians. We gave them blankets that gave them small pox. We
gave them colorful glass beads and took Manhattan Island. They had no clue
about our private property laws and no attorneys. So now in elementary schools,
our students are spending a lot of time studying the American Indians.
In lots of
places, we tried to live peacefully with the Indians and that worked alright
until one of them decided to steal one of our horses and we shot him. Knowing that Indians were ignorant about
Western Law, we offered them “treaties” that we promptly broke when we were
ready to take their land.
The
Indians didn’t think land should be owned by people. They believed that land
should be free from ownership. They
might like the UN’s plan to do away with private property and have the global
government own all the land. But they warred with other tribes over hunting
grounds, so their customs weren’t exactly air tight. We invented property rights because it was
the only way to get people to grow enough food to keep them alive. We also used property rights to keep our
“tribes” in Europe from attacking each other too much.
I don’t
think our elementary schools will spend much time on American Indian religious
beliefs, because that might interfere with the Islamization of the children.
