Regime Change

Not a US government responsibility

Citizens of each country are responsible for the leadership they select or are forced to accept. If bad leaders are entrenched and the country goes to hell, citizens are free to pursue several options.

The most frequent reaction is to vote with their feet, leave their country and try to get some other country to allow them to live there. The US has been the most popular country for these folks to come to, but many move to a country that adjoins their home country.

The US government is not responsible for regime change in other countries and the same goes for other foreign governments, who might want to enact regime change in countries near them unless they are attacked by those countries.

Most citizens would benefit from living in a free market economy with private property rights, the rule of law and the right to earn a living. Most citizens don’t have these rights, because this requires a large private sector and a small non-intrusive government.

Governments who want to exist for the betterment of their citizens should concentrate on developing a private sector and basic government services like roads, bridges, clean water supply and sanitation.
