Shutting Down the Refugee Program

The US Congress spends too money much because they can.  They have figured out how to dodge the flack.  Angola is poor, so their solution to terrorism was to ban Muslims. The cost of doing this is much lower than anything we do in the US or Europe.  We think we can afford to be “humanitarian”, but we can’t. We need another bill to remove US welfare from all refugees and immigrants to remove the incentive for poor people to migrate to the US.  We already have enough poor people in the US. We need to adjust our policies to focus on attracting the best and the brightest of whatever we need to hire. We also need to require relatives to sponsor their own family members.

We need to stop bailing out countries who are not attending to their own poor populations. The job of the US is to role model prosperity, so the rest of the world can copy us. These countries need to root out their own corruption. For many of these countries, the corruption is systemic in their police forces who extort cash from the citizens. It’s just like the Mafia’s protection money racket. In the US we keep corruption hidden at high levels.

Property rights and the key to family wealth accumulation. Where governments have weak property rights, their citizens are poor. 

To unravel Obama’s lawless policies, we need a series of actions to ensure that Congress has the information Obama has refused to give them. Part of this is information about the refugees and immigrants we already have in the US and what welfare benefits they are receiving.  The Babin Bill freezes the refugee program and requires Homeland Security to provide this information to the Congress. The other Bill that is needed is the one that removes these welfare benefits from refugees and immigrants.

Resettlement Accountability National Security Act of 2015 Introduced in House 7/29/15 as HR3314 sponsored by Rep Brian Babin R-TX.

This bill prohibits the admission of refugees into the United States until Congress passes a joint resolution giving the Department of Homeland Security authority to resume admitting refugees.

Requires the Government Accountability Office to report to Congress on refugees who received benefits under any of the following programs: Medicare, Medicaid, disability insurance under title II of the Social Security Act, the supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP, formerly the food stamp program), and section 8 rental assistance.
