Brainwashed

Every US citizen under age 50 were subjected to politically correct indoctrination.  It happened first in California with “save the whales” and the founding of the ‘church of environmental extremism’.

The brainwashing has now been accomplished for the majority of US voters. This political indoctrination was successful on the coasts, but a majority of voters from the “heartland” voted for Trump and against further economic decline.

The indoctrination hit other states a few years later with gender neutral language; policemen, firemen became police and fire fighters. Women were encouraged to enter fields that had been filled after World War II by men. Women burned bras, but failed to get the “Equal Rights Amendment” ratified by the States. The “women’s movement” was the advanced PR campaign to convince women that it was their “right” to go to work.  In reality, women were forced to work to pay for the inflation that hit in the 1970s.

Homosexuals became “gay”, but activists started a political movement to gain “protected class” status. Negros became “black”, but only prospered when the private sector prospered.  Affirmative Action resulted in “blacks” being hired in government jobs and elected to city governments with “black” majorities.

Welfare ended the need for the poor to work, but also kept the poor, poor. It also destroyed ‘black’ families. Welfare was imposed in the 1960s, limited in the 1990s and exploded with eligibility for immigrants and refugees.

Excessive immigration after the 1980s brought more legal and illegal immigrants.  NAFTA in 1993 resulted in the off-shoring of US manufacturing. Open borders and open immigration laws resulted in 94 million working-age US citizens without jobs.

Laws protecting us from ourselves were put on the books. Seatbelts were mandated. Many industries like forestry and fishing were decimated by federal regulations.  Oil, natural gas drilling as well as mining coal and other minerals were limited by government. Vastly more expensive wind and solar power generation was forced on power companies. EPA air and water regulations were based on junk science.

Government began to redefine ‘our values’. Tolerance became a virtue whether the “victim” deserved tolerance or not.  Personal responsibility became “social responsibility”. Open borders became the US government policy.

Racist became the name given to anyone who disagreed with the Liberal view of everything. Politicians learned that they would not win elections if they were branded as “racist”, or if they failed to support all Liberal initiatives. They said very little and hoped to get elected.  I think those days are over.

Hospitals were ordered to treat everyone, even if they would not be paid. Hospitals absorbed those losses and transferred the cost to paying patients. The price of medical treatment in hospitals skyrocketed beyond what anybody could afford.

Banks were ordered to give everyone mortgage loans, even if they were not qualified. This caused the 2008 Meltdown when mortgage holders stopped paying their monthly payments.

The US had always been the land of “Liberty”. Being dictated to by political correctness set up resentment in most of the population. Archie Bunker was a popular TV show, because Archie was “old school”. The US had always been a “meritocracy” and valued self-sufficiency, personal responsibility and productivity.
