Reagan stated that US citizens could lose
their freedom in one generation; we now have that generation in our schools and
colleges. The US needs a shot of self-reliance to counteract the socialist
virus that afflicts the “snowflake” generation.
Despite their size and resources, my Russian
friends tell me that the Russian people don’t know how to work and their
leaders don’t understand business. They also report on Russian government
corruption at every level. They wouldn’t bet a dime on Russia emerging as a
free market private sector economic powerhouse.
They say that the US is the only country that can recover from its own
socialist plague. They are relieved that Obama is gone.
If our students were allowed to make a
serious study of the Industrial Revolution in the US from 1850 to 1940, they
would see how our technological advances were driven by private sector leaders,
not government bureaucrats.
