Sedition

Sedition is defined as actions that incite resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority.

Sabotage is defined as actions that deliberately destroy, damage or obstruct anything for political or military advantage.

 

Treason is the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government.

Sedition is what it looks like rogue judges and mayors and councils are doing when they resist established federal law. It sure doesn’t look like “free speech”. The fact that judges are enjoining federal actions suggests two motives.  If they know the Supreme Court will overturn their decisions, judges are simply filing these injunctions to obstruct federal actions. If they really think the current Supreme Court will take their side, they are delusional.

Mayors and councils didn’t send letters to lobby their federal representatives to change the law. Instead, they passed ordinances that contradicted existing federal law.

These rogue judges and mayors are objecting to federal laws dealing with immigration and that is clearly a federal responsibility.  They are engaging in sedition against the federal government and hoping to get by with it.

Instead of charging these clowns with sedition, the federal government is planning to withhold funding to errant sanctuary cities who refuse to allow their police to cooperate with ICE.

California is another matter.  They have taken action against building the wall and have declared themselves a sanctuary State. Their taxes are too high. Their ordinances restrict freedom and are based on unconstitutional principles. Their government debt is too high. Their pension system is about to crash and their water infrastructure needs work.

 

The laws these rogue entities are refusing to obey are current federal laws on the books. These are not unconstitutional executive orders. The laws need to be obeyed and enforced until they are changed by Congress and signed by the President.

 

Obama routinely ignored the laws on the books and chose not to enforce many of these laws, especially where immigration was concerned. 

 

Liberals need to know that the DOJ will charge them with sedition if they continue to refuse to cooperate with ICE.
