The Civil War from 1960 to 1865 was Phase 1. The next phase was Reconstruction from 1865
to 1877 when Federal Troops occupied the South.
In 1877, Federal troops were removed and Jim Crow laws were passed and
the KKK was formed to suppress Blacks. In, 1963 Federal troops imposed
desegregation of schools and in 1964. The Civil Rights Act was passed.
