Mexican Border Problem

The US is inextricably linked to Mexico and Canada because we share borders.

We have a long-standing problem with the Mexican border because of the drug trade. Drug gangs control much of the Mexican border areas and have compromised the Mexican government’s ability to provide law and order.  The drug gangs are there, because US citizens persist in buying drugs and our long-standing anti-drug laws have not eliminated US drug use. Additionally, we are vulnerable to terrorists crossing the Mexican border to gain entry to the US.

The second long-standing problem is illegal immigrants. We have also have a problem with excessive legal immigration.

Our welfare policies and loose immigration policies encourage this and these policies need to be changed to eliminate excessive legal immigration and illegal immigration.

We need a border wall and control over visa over-stays and we need to eliminate the drug gangs. We need to help Mexico regain control of its border areas by drying up the cash flow of the drug gangs.
