Immigration

The need for workers in the US in the 1800s was real. We needed a steady stream of capable people to settle the West, build the railroads, establish farms and ranches, work in factories, fight in the Civil War and implement the Industrial Revolution.

The need for workers in the US in 2000 was a farce. We had off-shored our jobs, opened our immigration floodgates and made 100 million working-age US citizens unemployed.
