China’s Economy 2018


China’s GDP is $13.12 trillion, per capita GDP is $10,303 per year, land mass is 3.7 million square miles, population is 1.4 billion, Labor force is 804 million, GDP by Sector is 51.6% services, 39.8% industry and 8.6% agricultural.  Exports are $2.3 trillion with 94% in manufactured goods, Imports are $1.8 trillion, government debt is $4.3 trillion.

Main industries include mining and ore processing iron, steel aluminum and other metals and coal, machine building, armaments, textiles, apparel, petroleum, cement, chemicals, fertilizer, food processing, transportation equipment, automobiles, rail cars, locomotives, ships, aircraft, telecom equipment, space launch vehicles, satellites, footwear and consumer goods, toys and electronics.

China is a Communist country. The Chinese government owns all the land and all the Chinese Corporations.


The Chinese Yuan is worth 16 cents. Living costs are high compared to household incomes. There is no home “ownership” land is leased from the government. Working conditions are poor for manufacturing workers.
