Lobby Damage

Lobby groups weigh in on government actions and screw up policies and Bills in Congress that turn into bad laws loaded with sand traps and land mines. Lobby groups have narrow short-term interests that obstruct the kind of reforms we need to make in order to restore the US free market economy.

The immigration bills in the House are disasters. We do not need to save the DACA migrants. We can join the court decision and reject Obama’s DACA folly.  We can then finalize the policy on what non-criminal illegal immigrants need to do next. What they need to do is either go back to their home countries, where they are citizens or apply for whatever temporary work visas they can get with the sponsorship of their employers.  They can’t get a path to citizenship unless they apply for and receive H1b visas and get a green card.  The elimination of US welfare benefits can help them decide.

The Tariff Tiff going on is a case study in special interest industries. All industries affected by US tariff actions are attacking their bought and paid for representatives in Congress to roll back the tariffs.

Silicon Valley is not helping.  They off-shored manufacturing of their products, loaded with intellectual property to sell products in China. So, how’s that going for them? Have they seen the Chinese version that replaces their products yet? Do they know they can be completely replaced and go out of business?

Trump is using tariffs to get other countries to lower their tariffs. Germany would be wise to lower their 25% tariff on US auto imports to 2.5%.  Germans don’t want these cars anyway.  China can do without them, because they prefer Japanese and South Korean cars just like we do. 

Trump is headed in the right direction and will likely win in 2020, but in 2024 we will need another President just like him. US corporations need to get with the program, abandon the UN Agenda 21 narrative and get competitive.

We need a Republican sweep in November and a change in Leadership in Congress to kill Obamacare and pass Immigration based on merit. We also need to clean out the Deep State from the agencies.
