In 1951, the global
population was 2.6 billion and 30% lived in urban areas. In 2018, the global population is 7.6 billion
and 55% live in urban areas.
In 1950, global GDP
was $4.1 trillion. In 2018, global GDP was $80 trillion. The majority of this increase is due to high
inflation created by abandoning the free market law of supply and demand.

In the US, urban areas
include the metro area, which includes the largest city plus the suburbs and
exurbs. Our rural areas were abandoned by manufacturing companies when the US
off-shored manufacturing in 1993.
