Georgia
Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams said the alleged “blue
wave” Democrats are expecting in the 2018 midterm elections is filled
with “documented and undocumented” voters.
“The
thing of it is, the blue wave is African American. It is white. It is Latino.
It is Asian-Pacific Islander,” Abrams said at a Clayton County campaign office Tuesday in a video obtained by The Washington Free Beacon. “It is made up of those who’ve been told that
they are not worthy of being here. It is comprised of those who are documented
and undocumented.”
The
comments come as the California Department of Motor Vehicles announced Monday that nearly 1,500 customers
may have been illegally registered to vote.
Abrams
is taking on Republican Secretary of State
Brian Kemp in the governor’s race. She has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars
of her own money to try to secure a victory, and previously served as the minority
leader of the Georgia House of Representatives. (RELATED: Democratic

Kemp
is in a tight race, as he sits just a few points ahead of Abrams in the red
state, according to Real Clear Politics.
