When Trump was elected
in 2016, his only supporters were the voters in “fly-over” States, Conservative
voters, the Military, Law Enforcement, Tea Party Populists, Constitutionalists
and those who agreed with his campaign promises.
His opponents included
all Progressives, Socialists, Globalists, Marxists, the Deep State, Federal
Courts, Congress, Democrats, U.S. government employees, the Republican
Establishment, the UN, the EU and the US Chamber of Communists including most
multi-national corporations. Trump had to turn this around to fulfill his
campaign promises.
Trump was the CEO of
his own company and will continue to view the federal government as a company
and that’s why we elected him.
Trump’s experience as
a “builder” fits his style of successful project management. The first thing
you do when you want to build a heavy, high-rise structure is a cost estimate
and some geotechnical engineering to find bedrock.
Once the data is and
you can approve the project, you hire the contractor to do the foundation, then
the steel structure. You don’t hire the plumbers and electricians until you are
ready for them. He doesn’t view government as a “jobs program” that keeps
people employed forever in case you might need them.
The turnover of
Trump’s staff in his administration was foretold in the turnover of Trump’s
campaign staff in 2016. Trump chose different Campaign Managers and Team
Members to accomplish what he had to accomplish in each phase of the campaign
and it worked.
The 2016 GOP Debates
were held from August 2015 to March 2016. Trump emerged with a comprehensive
program. This required Steve Bannon and a populist campaign. Jeff Session
entered the campaign.
Primaries were held
from February 2016 to June.2016. This required coordination by Reince Priebus
and the RNC.
The last stretch from
July 2016 to November 2016 required targeted rallies in key States with Kelly
Conway.
Trump also chose staff
and cabinet members using the same tactics. He appointed people who could set
up shop to prepare to implement his campaign promises. If the next phase
required different skill sets or suffered casualties, Trump would change
cabinet members and staff to maximize pursuit of the next phase.
When Trump took office
in January 2017, he appointed several of his campaign team to jobs in the
Whitehouse.
Reince Priebus was
Chief of Staff from 1/20/17 to 7/28/17. He was RNC Chairman in 2016 and worked
with Trump to win the election.
Jeff Sessions was
Attorney General from 2/8/17 to 11/7/18. He was a Senator and worked with Trump
to win the election.
Trump included
Conservatives like Steve Bannon 1/20/17 to 8/18/17 for political strategy,
Sebastian Gorka 1/20/17 to 8/25/17 for national security, They worked with
Trump to win the election.
Trump also included a
number of Generals including Mike Flynn 1/20/17 to 3/13/17 and HR McMaster
2/20/17 to 4/9/18 for national security. John Kelly 2/20/17 to 7/31/17 for DHS
and 7/31/17 to 12/31/18 for Chief of Staff.
Leak was that McMaster and Bannon clashed.
Trump included several
Executives including Rex Tillerson 2/1/17 to 3/13/18 for Secretary of State and
Gary Cohn 1/20/17 to 3/8/18 for Economic Council.
Trump included subject
matter experts like Tom Price 2/10/17 to 9/29/17 for HHS. Price didn’t watch
his expenses and paid the price.
Trump entered office
on 1/20/17 with 18 hour days of canceling Obama’s executive orders and issuing
his own.
Trump’s team was
facing Deep State and Media sabotage. Deep State leaks suggested riffs among
Trumps diverse team members.
Trump’s first team
helped him get his agenda established in 2017. He had to reverse job-killing
policies to return oil production and manufacturing jobs back to the US.
Trump cancelled
unnecessary regulations, implemented corporate and individual income tax cuts
to allow manufacturing to return to the US. Trump also unleashed oil and gas
infrastructure and production. In 2018, Trump focused on international problems
in the Middle East, North Korea and China. He focused on Trade and the November
2018 elections in Congress. He worked to eliminate illegal migration. He
restored the US economy to 2000 levels with GDP growth at 3%. He appointed 2
Constitutionalists to the Supreme Court and hundreds to the lower federal
courts. So far, so good for the first 2 years.
Trump is in the
process of restructuring US trade to lower the US trade deficit and address
China’s intellectual property theft. He has yet to repeal Obamacare and usher
in a Merit-based Immigration Law. He is continuing to bring security sensitive
manufacturing jobs back to the US using Tariffs.
