US Federal Spending


In 2015, the US federal government budget was $3.8 trillion. The interest on the debt was $229.15 billion, discretionary spending was $1.11 trillion and mandatory spending was $2.45 trillion.

Discretionary spending of $1.11 trillion was dominated by the Military DOD budget that was $598.49 billion. The other categories were:
Government $72.89 billion
Education $69.98 billion
Health $66.03 billion
Veterans $65.32 billion
Housing $63.24 billion
International $40.94 billion
Environment $39.14 billion
Science $29.7 billion
Transportation $26.28 billion
Agriculture $13.13 billion

Mandatory spending of $2.45 trillion was dominated by Social Security at $1.25 trillion. The other categories were:
Medicare $985.74 billion
Agriculture $122.57 billion
Veterans $95.31 billion
Transportation $58.7 billion
Other $58.18 billion

In 2015, the taxes paying for the federal budget included:
Individual Income Taxes $1.48 trillion
Payroll Taxes $1.07 trillion
Corporate Taxes $341.7 billion

In 2015, tax revenues of $3.18 trillion were expected and planned spending was $3.8 trillion. The deficit for 2015 was expected to be $583 billion.

US federal revenue increased since 2014 as follows:
2015 $3.25 trillion
2016 $3.27 trillion
2017 $3.32 trillion
2018 $3.34 trillion
2019 $3.422 trillion estimated.

In 2018 US federal spending will be $4.17 trillion with a deficit of $830 billion.

The 2019 US federal budget is planned to spend $4.407 trillion with a deficit of $985 billion.

Interest on the federal debt for October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018 was $310 billion.

Federal spending should continue to be cut on education, foreign aid, fake science and grants to rogue states, sanctuary cities, universities, non-profits and excessive grants to States to remove socialist-globalist propaganda. States should concentrate on critical infrastructure and cut fluff and interest costs.

As jobs are restored to US citizens, we should see our economy normalize as citizens lift themselves out of welfare programs. We need to stop admitting welfare migrants and eliminate their $934 billion in welfare costs.
