Muslims Killing Christians in Nigeria

Christian Crisis In Nigeria: Militants Kill 120 Christians In 3 Weeks, by Simon Daily, 3/16/19, Patriot Chronicles.

Christian are under attack in Africa. Reports claim that 120 Christians have been killed by Fulani Muslim militants. It seems bad farming practices and drought are causing these killings.

At its core, the herder-farmer violence occurring in Nigeria revolves around the economic plight resulting from the worsening drought and land degradation in Nigeria’s northern regions.

“The livelihood of Nigeria’s Fulani population is threatened as desertification of their land pushes them south.”So the Fulani are attacking areas that have better land for farming as they have destroyed theirs. “The Fulani, an ethnic group comprised mainly of Muslim herders, has been behind the vast majority of these attacks.

The Nigerian government has dismissed them as minor skirmishes. They are nothing of the sort. Between the ongoing violence in the Middle Belt and the terrorist attacks carried out by Boko Haram, more than 16,000 Nigerian Christians have been killed in the past 3 years, alone.”

The recent death toll of Christians in Nigeria has reached 120 with this week’s slaughter of more than 50 by Fulani Muslim militants in the Kaduna state of Nigeria, the Christian Post reported.

The Fulani jihadists, who have become a greater threat to Nigerian Christians than the Islamist terror group Boko Haram, stormed the villages of Inkirimi, Dogonnoma, and Ungwan Gora in the Kajuru Local Government Area last Monday, destroying 143 homes, killing 52 people, and wounding dozens more.

The assailants reportedly split into three groups, the first of which fired upon the people, the second set fire to buildings, and the third chased down people fleeing from the scene. Victims of the assault included women and children.”

The governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew this week in the troubled Kajuru Local Government Area as thousands have been displaced from their homes by violence caused by militant Fulani herdsmen.
The curfew comes as there have been a string of recent attacks against communities within the predominantly Christian Adara chiefdom of southern Kaduna.”

CSW (Christian Solidarity Worldwide) believes that the recent violence could have been incited by Kaduna Governor el Rufai’s claims on the eve of Nigeria’s presidential elections that 66, mostly Fulani, people were killed in Kajuru.

The claim was refuted by the Nigerian Emergency Management Agency. The Kaduna State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria accused the governor of delivering false information.”

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, who reportedly shares his ethnicity with the Fulani, has been accused of downplaying and even condoning the attacks by the Muslim group.

Some Christian leaders and experts urge followers of Christ to rise and defend themselves against the Fulani.

“For years now, though, the Christians have been saying that they ‘have no cheeks left to turn…’ If they decide to fight back – for which I think they are totally justified – Nigeria will become a war zone,” McDonnell told Breitbart News.”
