US Elections 2018

Congress remained unpopular in 2018. GOP Establishment RINOS opposed Trump in 2016 and lost points with populous conservative Trump supporters. Some Republicans became Trump converts, but the Deep State is alive and well even in Republican ranks.

Republicans retained the US Senate and have 53 Senate seats compared to Democrats with 47 seats. This should help expedite Senate confirmations of Judges and other appointments.

The Democrats won the US House and have 235 seats compared to Republicans with 199 seats.  Democrats spent $2.5 billion and Republicans spent $2.2 billion.

39 mostly RINO Republicans retired in 2018. This created a vacuum and Democrats filled it. Republicans had two strikes against them. They had a record of caving in to Democrats and didn’t support Trump.
