Australian Election Results

Conservatives won 51% to Liberals 49%. There are multiple political parties in Australia and they ban together in opposing coalitions. There are 15 political parties listed, but only two main parties lead their opposing coalitions.

The Conservative coalition consists of the Liberal Party, the National Party, the Liberal National Party and the Country Liberal Party.

The Liberal coalition consists of the Labor Party, the Greens, the Centrist and Katter’s Australian Party. There are 7 additional Parties but no seats were won by these Parties.

All Parties call themselves Liberal to avoid being called Racists. There are dozens of “non-parliamentary Parties we would call “advocacy groups”

In the House Conservative Coalition won 78 seats and the Liberal Coalition won 68 seats in the House. In the Senate, Conservatives won 40 or 75 seats.
