Congress will order an
Article V Convention of States if 34 States request one. None of the Amendments
we’ve passed to date have used this method.
Instead, Congress has written and passed Amendments and sent them to the
States for ratification. Many Amendments
die using this process and rightly so.
12 States have passed
Resolutions to petition Congress to call for a Convention of States to force
Congress to “balance the federal budget”. But I can’t imagine State
Legislatures doing this without realizing that the federal government might
well cut grants to States. Other States have included “term limits”, but none
have suggested that we restrict political campaign contributions to “voters
only” and that would surely remove corruption from government.
In just the last five years, the Convention
of States resolution has passed in 15 states: Georgia, Alaska, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Indiana,
Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arizona, North Dakota, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Utah,
and Mississippi.
These States need to
repeal these Resolutions and cancel their requests. This live grenade remains
“filed” unless it is cancelled.
This Article V
Convention would have the authority to scrap the US Constitution and replace it
with the “Newstates of America Constitution”
The
politicians we would have voting in this Constitutional Convention are not as
honest or wise as the original Founders and most are Communists bent on the
destruction of the US. They represent the “Deep State” writ large.
