Religious Liberty in
US has few limits, but polygamy and honor killing are against the law in the US
and will result in prosecution and incarceration. The Mormon Church was forced
to stop allowing polygamy. The Amish are allowed to waive their social security
membership. Muslims are jailed if they are convicted of killing their family
members. Sharia law is not recognized in the US when it conflicts with US law.
Many of the original
colonists came to America in the 1600s to escape religious persecution in
Europe.
The war against
Religious Liberty began with Hugh Black’s Supreme Court error in 1947. The
Constitution stated Congress could not establish a “state religion”. This was
included to satisfy the multiple Protestant denominations that they were safe
to function.
Lawsuits filed by
atheists since 1947 resulted in the war on Christianity. Prior to that opinion,
public schools had optional religion classes taught by Catholic Nuns at the end
of every school day.
Eliminating religion
from the US was included in American Communist Goals below.
25. Break down cultural standards of
morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion
pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality,
degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural and healthy.”
27. Infiltrate the churches and
replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and
emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious
crutch.”
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of
religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the
principle of “separation of church and state.”
