Deep State Costs

The Price for Government in the US is $7.4 trillion per year. The Federal government spends $4.1 trillion and the States, Counties, Cities and other government entities spend $3.3 trillion.  US GDP is $21 trillion and government spends 33% of GDP.

Government spending in the United States is the spending of the federal government of the United States of America, and the spending of its state and local governments. The United States public-sector spending amounts to about 38% of GDP (federal is around 21%, state and local the remainder).

The Deep State in the federal government exists in the Executive, Legislative and Judicial bureaucracies. Big government leftists are drawn to “government service” to impose the “Progressive” agenda. Policies are designed to ignore the US Constitution (as written) and grow government at all levels. There are 22 million government employees in the US employed in federal, state and local government entities. The US media is the mouthpiece for the Deep State and includes millions of people working in movies, television, and newspapers to advance “progressive” policies. US education institutions are the training ground for a Marxist take-over of the US employing millions of people dedicated to this take-over. Many large US companies have signed on to support off-shoring US manufacturing and open borders.

Deep State costs permeate all levels of government. UN Agenda 21 policies were adopted in the 1990s at the federal level. State “regionalism” policies were established in the 2000s and established impenetrable government control. Elected officials became cardboard replicas to rubber stamp budgets.  Prices for everything government buys doubled. The “city manager” form of government was installed. Crony government was established.

In past decades, local officials were elected to actively manage public funds. Counties and Cities were managed by Mayors and County Commission Chairs. Cost mattered. Reliable low bidders got the contracts. Ordinances were controlled by local elected officials and were customized for local needs and developed over time based on local needs.

After 2000, UN Agenda 21 policies were imposed to dictate “one-size-fits-all” policies. City planning was controlled by State bureaucracies adopting the American Planning Association Land Use and Ordinance Agenda 21 policies.

State “Municipal Associations” control bureaucrat selection and pay. City and County ordinances are identical.

State “Regionalism” policies adopted in 2008 and 2010 need to be repealed by State Legislatures. These policies are still in effect, but are in “sleep mode” waiting for a resurgence of “Smart Growth” and transit village development,

We need processes in place to stop waste, fraud and abuse, employ cost-saving processes and eliminate redundant, unnecessary and unconstitutional programs agencies and departments.
