US Manufacturing

US Manufacturing jobs played a leading role in the creation of US Middle Class Jobs from the 1930s through the 1980s. These jobs were removed in the Globalism Scam of the 1990s.  The % in Manufacturing indicates the % of the US population engaged in manufacturing since 1939 and the number of manufacturing jobs the percentages represent. See below.

Year   % in Mfg.    Pop.      Mfg. Jobs
1939   30.839%    131M    40M
1940   31.169%    132M    41M
1944   37.866%    138M    52M
1949   30.295%    149M    45M
1950   30.948%    152M    47M
1953   32.063%    160M    51M
1960   28.433%    187M    53M
1970   25.134%    205M    52M
1980   20.692%    227M    47M
1990   16.155%    259M    42M
2000   13.076%    282M    37M
2010     8.844%    309M    27M
2018     8.528%    329M    28M

We are down from 47 million manufacturing jobs in 1980 to 28 million manufacturing jobs in 2019. We have just turned the corner. We need 20 million more manufacturing jobs in the US to restore the middle class.
