US Total Trade Deficits by Year


The US Trade Deficit problems are finally being addressed by Trump starting with China. But the other countries like Mexico and Canada are also having their Trade Surpluses trimmed.  The Total US Trade Deficit in 2019 was still in the $800 billion range, but we should begin to see our Deficits melt away from 2020 to 2024.

US Trade Deficits were lowered by recessions in 1991-1992 and the Meltdown in 2009-2010. US Jobs began to melt away in 1989 as Immigration surged.  The Deep State made sure that US Blue Collar citizens would be punished for their excessive earnings in the 1970s and 1980s.
