US Campaign Contributions 2018

The only elected official in the US that works exclusively for the voters is Trump. All others are paid by special interest groups who target their money across State lines.

If voters want to restore control of all their other elected officials, they will need to insist that campaign contributions be restricted to voters only and only for those candidates who appear on their ballots.

The article below puts the total cost of campaign contributions to candidates for federal office at $4.25 billion. Most of this money goes to media ads and campaign staff expenses. If US voters finally get smart and regain control of their elected officials, they will need to debunk this legal bribery, extortion and corruption.  Politicians admit that they spend most of their time raising money rather than doing their jobs.
