The most common waterborne diseases are cholera, dysentery, hepatitis, typhoid, giardiasis, intestinal worms, diarrhea, cryptosporidium infections, and gastroenteritis.

Almost all cities in Pakistan lack adequate sanitation infrastructure, resulting in a variety of problems, including poor hygiene, polluted water, and disease outbreaks. One of the main causes of Pakistan's urban sanitation problems is a lack of investment and adopting technological solutions in infrastructure.

Pakistan’s history reveals that its population comes from Indian ancestry.

In 1858, Britian took military control of India and made it a British Colony. In 1600, Britain had established the India Trading Company with the Mughal Empire who ruled India. Britain ruled India as a colony from 1858 to 1947 when Britain granted India independence. Muslims and Hindus had been fighting for years.

From 1915 to 1947 Indian leaders led by Mahatma Ghandhi concluded that India had to break with Britain and Muslims and Hindus should separate. These leaders took the western part of India and created Pakistan that would be a Muslim country. They sent their Muslims to Pakistan and some Hindus living in Pakistan moved to India.
