President-elect Donald Trump announced he will nominate Linda McMahon to lead the U.S. Department of Education. During Trump's first term, she was picked to run the U.S. Small Business Administration. She is best known for building the professional wrestling company WWE into a powerhouse alongside her husband.
McMahon is a surprise for the role as she wasn't one of the education candidates with real conservative credentials, NPR's Cory Turner tells Up First. She served on the Connecticut State Board of Education for about a year. She told the committee after she was nominated that she had gone to college with plans to become a teacher. More recently she chaired the board for the America First Policy Institute, which supports school choice. When it comes to closing the Education Department, Turner says a bipartisan group informed him that is one wrestling match McMahon probably can't win. The department was created by Congress and only Congress can abolish it.
Linda McMahon was born on October 4, 1948 in New Bern, North Carolina, USA. She is an actress and producer, known for WWE Raw (1993), WWE: McMahon (2006) and WWE Smackdown! (1999). She has been married to Vince McMahon since August 6, 1966. They have two children.

Linda McMahon was the administrator of the Small Business Administration under the Trump administration from 2017 to 2019. She resigned to chair the America First Action PAC, a pro-Trump super PAC.
McMahon was born October 4, 1948 in New Bern, North Carolina. She earned a bachelor's degree from East Carolina University in 1966. After graduation, McMahon worked as a paralegal at a corporate law firm. In 1980, McMahon and her husband co-founded Titan Sports, Inc. (now WWE, Inc.), and she served as president and later CEO until 2009.
McMahon was appointed to the Connecticut State Board of Education by Governor Jodi Rell in 2009, but resigned in 2010 to run for political office. In 2010 and 2012, McMahon was the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate from Connecticut, losing in the general election both times. In 2016, she was a delegate to the Republican National Convention from Connecticut and a member of the RNC Rules Committee.

The first step in saving public schools is to pass the Bill that requires all public schools to replace ideology with reading, writing and math in elementary school. Social Activism should be replaced by occupational and life skills classes in High School. All Federal Education Grants should cease. Parents should be able to apply for Vouchers from the State to apply their “school tax” portion of their property taxes to private schools.
