Government at all levels needs to upgrade their equipment and databases and employ AI to connect databases. They need to simplify their tax forms and websites to improve the citizen user interface. Government needs to employ “strategic planning to identify weaknesses and describe current conditions. They need to do this to identify priorities and concentrate on fixing the worst problems first. This priority list should control the legislative session that would focus on the problem list. Governments need to share the priority list with the voters by posting it on their websites to invite voter comments.
Government entities should avoid using “Bonds” to fund everything and should fund expensive projects by establishing surplus accrual accounts that are invested. Bonds make everything cost double. Schools should be built and maintained to last 100 years. Government should stop funding development of non-governmental entities like developers and private sector companies. Rural City and County governments should be the only entities who could offer “tax holidays” to attract manufacturing companies to locate in their exurbs, cities and counties.
Governments should limit their “investments” to critical infrastructure construction and maintenance. This would include roads, highways, bridges, storm drains and sewer systems. Cities who want more parks, greenspace, 12-foot sidewalks, for bikers and public transit should not get federal or state grants for these. These cities should let their voters decide if they approve or not.
NLRB Reforms are needed to include requirements that Labor Unions behave as part of a Team and end their adversarial practices. Unions need to support automation to increase Productivity.
The days of political horse trading to “bring home the bacon” are over. Grants to NGO 501C groups need to stop. Subsidizing bad acting US Universities should end. Federal Government funding of Sanctuary States, Counties and Cities should end. Rogue Federal District Judges should be impeached.
