Syria


Syria reports a population of 18.3 million, down from 18,734,987 in 2015, but the war has displaced at least half of their population.  Land area is 71.498 sq. mi.

On Wiki, Syria reports a PPP GDP of $45 billion in 2017 and per capita GDP of $2684 for 2015. In 2017 it reports inflation at 25.5%, Unemployment at 50%, Poverty at 82.5%, Labor force of 3.77 million.

Exports for 2017 est. $1.786 billion to Lebanon, Jordan, China, Turkey, Iraq and Tunisia.

Imports for 2017 est. $5.649 billion from Russia, China and Turkey.

Main industries are reported as petroleum, textiles, food processing, beverages, tobacco, phosphate, rock mining, cement, oil seed crushing and car assembly.

In 2017, government debt was reported at 60% of GDP, Revenues were $1 billion and external debt was $6 billion. Expenses for 2014 were reported at $6 billion,
