Abraham dates back to
2500 BC. The Exodus of the Jews from Egypt occurred around 1300 BC. The Israeli
Empire began with Joshua in 1250 BC and was expanded by King David in 1000 BC.
Israel occupied parts of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt.
Israel fell to Babylon
in 587 BC, then to the Persians in 538 BC, then to the Greeks in 333 BC and
finally to the Romans in 63 BC.
In 70 AD Jews were
driven from Israel by the Romans and migrated to neighboring countries and
eventually around the world. Israel was reestablished as a country in 1947.
