Globalism was introduced in UN Agenda 21 in 1989. The lame excuse was “Global Warming Theory”. Over the past 35 years, the Global Warming Hoax has been discredited, because we have not seen any changes in our weather patterns but the side-effects of replacing natural gas with wind and solar to produce electricity have been destructive and too expensive.
The economies in all countries are National Economies. The World Bank does the best job and gives the best advice to all countries. They counsel countries to keep their Debt to GDP as low as possible and cite opportunities they should pursue to increase their exports. They base their loans to counties on their economic performance and potential. The worst advice comes from the UN. They stress “human rights” problems to attract potential aggressors including internal political rivals, rogue neighboring countries and Islamic Terror Groups. The best advice on strengthening National Economies comes from Trump. He encourages countries to produce what they consume, increase exports and eradicate Terror Groups. The citizens of struggling countries are typically eager to work, because many of them live day to day.
Ending Globalism involves making what you consume if that is possible and feasible. Nations have always engaged in trade with each other and that won’t ever stop. But providing the means to allow citizens to provide for their own food, shelter and transportation remains a priority for countries to pursue. The Global Supply Chain is easily disrupted by rogue countries like Iran. Their Proxies are attacking cargo ships attempting to exit in the Red Sea to block shipments through the Suez Canal. The Panama Canal has experienced low water levels slowing movement of cargo ships. Rerouting these ships increases the cost of transportation of goods for companies who use the Global Supply chain routes. The Dock Workers Strike reminded us that the US reliance on the Global Supply Chain has its risks.
The economic incentive to create the Global Supply Chain was motivated by US companies wanting to reduce their Labor Costs. China offered a 50% discount on circuit boards and other components and US companies began having China produce their electronics. US Companies also wanted to sell their products to China’s large population, but that is no longer happening. China’s threat to absorb Taiwan threatens US access to the best computer chips on the planet. The US companies have already started to transfer their manufacturing to other Asian and Pacific Island countries and Trump has proposed lowering Corporate Taxes from 21% to 15% for companies who will increase manufacturing in the US. Trump is also proposing “Reciprocal Trade” to lower foreign Tariffs placed on US exports. Trump will increase Oil and Natural Gas production to drive down the price and enforce trade sanctions against Iran. This will lower Oil revenue and end their ability to fund their Terror Proxy Groups. Trump will impose sanctions on Russia to loser their revenue and end the was in Ukraine.
The US invented high-speed manufacturing and ended its quality problems with Lean Management and Continuous Improvement prior to off-shoring its manufacturing. The US knows how to apply these processes to modern semi-automated and fully automated manufacturing plants. The Global Supply Chain was always aimed at the US consumer-base and it’s time to bring it home. The first step will provide jobs for US Citizens to train to work in modern manufacturing plants. The second step is to train US Citizens to become Design Engineers to work in modern manufacturing Design Teams. The Technology developed by these Engineers will restore US Intellectual Property.
The Root Cause of this flailing in the US is “Short-Term Thinking”. US CEO’s prioritized “Earnings” to keep their jobs by keeping their stock prices high. Making an inferior product for a lower price was what they offered. Foreign-Based companies will respond to Trump’s 15% Corporate Tax and will build enough manufacturing capacity in the US and hire US Citizens to make enough goods for US consumption. US-Based companies will abandon their foreign-based companies and build modern manufacturing plants in the US to lower its Corporate Tax to 15%.They will build these manufacturing plants in “Right to Work” States.
US Companies will need to return to the strategy of producing very high-quality products using Lean Management and Modern Automation techniques. Their Goal should be to return to “Profitable Growth”. They should drop “social activist virtue signaling” and focus on the customer and product quality and reliability.
