Trey Gowdy was hand selected to lead
the Benghazi investigation several months ago.
That’s because the former prosecutor
is known for his tenacious pursuit of the truth and his bull-dog like
temperament when it comes to standing up for justice.
One thing that Gowdy likely never
expected when he was handed the assignment of getting to the bottom of the
Benghazi debacle is just how hard it was going to be to root out the truth.
In a recent interview Gowdy admits
he was “naive” about how hard the process was going to be. But that’s not because he isn’t up
to the task. No, not at all. It’s because top officials in the
White House administration are standing in the way of justice being executed. In particular he blamed John Kerry.

Tuesday on “The Mike Gallagher
Show,” House Select Benghazi Committee chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) said he
was “dead wrong” to think Secretary of State John Kerry would care enough about
his own reputation to protect his predecessor Hillary Clinton by having the
State Department stonewall on producing documents for Gowdy’s committee.
When asked if he would have done
anything differently during his committees investigation Gowdy said, “I would
have been less naive…it took me a little while longer than it should have to
figure out the State Department had no interest whatsoever in producing
documents to me.”
He added, “I guess I just assumed
that Secretary Kerry would care enough about his reputation that he wouldn’t
waste his capitol protecting his predecessor. But I have been dead wrong. We
are having a very difficult time getting documents from the State Department
and frankly their defense of her has been staggering.” How sad is that. These twisted and
corrupt politicians are going to bat for each other even when they know they’re
responsible for the deaths of innocent Americans. If that doesn’t clue you in to
something being horribly wrong with our justice system nothing else will.
It’s particularly frustrating for
all of us sitting here at home, waiting years and years for justice to be done
and knowing the most powerful people in the country can waltz around free of
any repercussions. Imagine how much more so for one of
