The population of Egypt is 99,375,741. The land mass is 390,100 square miles. Labor force 31.15 million, Poverty 28%, Unemployment 11.3%, Inflation 14.3%.

Egypt had a nominal GDP of $213.518 billion in 2017.

Nominal per capita GDP was $3,478 in 2016,

GDP by sector is services 55.7%, industry 33.1% and agriculture 11.9%
Labor force by occupation is services 47.3%, agriculture 29.2%, industry 23.5%.

Main industries include textiles, food processing, tourism, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, hydrocarbons, construction, cement, metals and light manufacturing

Exports were $22.5 billion in 2017 including crude oil, petroleum products, cotton, textiles, metal products, chemicals and agricultural goods sold to UAE, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Turkey, UK and US,

Imports were $50.91 billion in 2017 including machinery, equipment, foodstuffs, chemicals wood products and fuels from China, Germany, US, Italy, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Government debt was 101.24% of GDP, External debt was $76.31 billion, Revenue was $25 billion, Expenses were $82 billion. Foreign reserves were $44 billion.
