In 2017, Lebanon had a
nominal GDP of $55 billion, a nominal per capita GDP of $15,000,
GDP by sector was services
73.3% industry 21% and agriculture 5.7%
Main industries
include banking, tourism, winery, food processing, jewelry, cement textiles,
mineral and chemical products, wood and furniture products.
Exports were $4.051
billion including authentic jewelry, inorganic chemicals, consumer goods,
fruit, tobacco, construction materials, electric power machinery and
switchgear, textile fibers and paper sold to South Africa 21%, Saudi Arabia,
UAE, Syria and Iraq,
Imports were $18.05
billion including petroleum products, cars, medical products, clothing, meat
and live animals, consumer goods, paper, textile fabrics and tobacco from
China, Italy, Germany, Greece and Egypt.
Government debt was
29.02 billion or 132% of GDP. Government revenues were $12.133 billion,
expenses were $17.456 billion, External debt was $37 billion, foreign reserves
were $48.6 billion
