Obamnesty is Upon Us

Sessions On WSJ Report: Obama’s Immigration Orders Have ‘World Turned Upside Down’ Oct 30 2014

WASHINGTON—U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Ranking Member of the Senate Budget Committee and senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, responded today to a WSJ report on the President’s planned executive amnesty and expansion of foreign worker programs, following the earlier revelation of a USCIS contract bid for 34 million green cards and work authorizations:

“The Wall Street Journal confirmed today that the President is planning to issue a massive unilateral executive amnesty after the election.

In its report, the WSJ certifies that this executive amnesty would provide work permits for illegal immigrants—taking jobs directly from struggling Americans.

Based on the USCIS contract bid and statements from USCIS employees, we know this executive immigration order is likely to be broader in scope than anyone has imagined.

Earlier this week, President Obama’s former head of Homeland Security revealed that she overrode resistance from administration lawyers and law enforcement agents in implementing the President’s earlier unlawful amnesty and work authorization program for illegal immigrants 30 and under. This was an open admission by one of the most senior people in government of violating one’s oath of office in order to accomplish a nakedly political aim.

The President is assuming for himself the sole and absolute power to decide who can enter, work, live, and claim benefits in the United States. He has exempted virtually every group in the world from America’s immigration laws: people who enter before a certain age, people related to people who enter before a certain age, adults traveling with minors, minors traveling with adults, illegal immigrants who are not convicted of serious crimes, illegal immigrants who are convicted of serious crimes but not enough serious crimes, almost anyone who shows up the border and demands asylum, the millions who overstay their visas, and, as was recently exposed, illegal immigrants with serious criminal histories. On and on it goes.

A nation creates borders and laws to protect its own citizens. What about their needs?

The President is systemically stripping away the immigration protections to which every single American worker and their family is entitled. He doesn’t care how this impacts Americans’ jobs, wages, schools, tax bills, hospitals, police departments, or communities.

But it gets worse still. The WSJ reports that the President is ‘expected to benefit businesses that use large numbers of legal immigrants, such as technology companies.’ Those changes include measures to massively expand the number of foreign workers for IT companies—measures aggressively lobbied for by IT giants like Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates. Yet we have more than 11 million Americans with STEM degrees who don’t have jobs in these fields. Rutgers professor Hal Salzman documented that two-thirds of all new IT jobs are being filled by foreign workers. From 2000 through today, a period of record legal immigration, all net gains in employment among the working-age have gone entirely to immigrant workers.

And now, in order to help open borders billionaires, President Obama is going to deny millions of Americans their shot at entering the middle class and a better life.

The world has turned upside down. Instead of serving the interests of the American people, the policies of President Obama and every Senate Democrat serve the needs of special interests and global CEOs who fail to understand the duty a nation owes to its own people. But the citizens of this country still hold the power, and through their voice, they can turn the country right-side again.”

Voter Fraud Happening Now

Maryland, Illinois Voting Machines May be Rigged for Democrats by Melanie Batley, Tuesday, 28 Oct 2014 11:28 AM
A number of voting machines in Maryland and Illinois are electronically switching Republican votes to the Democrats, raising suspicions that fraud could be at the root of the alleged malfunction.

According to
Watchdog.org, election officials in both states have characterized the problem as a "calibration issue," but a software developer and expert on touch screens used by U.S. intelligence agencies told Newsmax that the explanation was bogus.

"It's a software issue, and it's incredibly suspicious that a bug like that could slip through accidentally. It defies belief," said Tony Heller.

He said that any expert trained in the technology could figure out within minutes whether the problem with the software was accidental and deliberate.

"This is being used by the public for voting. Public trust is essential," he said. "It's completely unacceptable that an official waved it off as a calibration issue. It's something that can be easily verified and should be."

Maryland voters in multiple locations who were placing early ballots for the midterm elections found that when they pressed the touch screen in favor of Republican candidates, their votes appeared in the Democratic columns.

At least four voters in three different locations in Maryland experienced the problem.

"When I first selected my candidate on the electronic machine, it would not put the 'x' on the candidate I chose — a Republican — but it would put the 'x' on the Democrat candidate above it," said a voter from Frederick. "This happened multiple times with multiple selections. Every time my choice flipped from Republican to Democrat."

Queen Anne County Sheriff Gary Hofmann said he encountered the problem as well.

"This is happening here as well. It occurred on two candidates on my machine. I am glad I checked. Many voters have reported this here as well," Hofmann told Watchdog.

A Maryland election director, Joe Torre, described the problem as a "calibration issue" involving a single machine.

But the same problem has also occurred in Chicago, Illinois where early voting began last week, according to
Watchdog.

"I tried to cast a vote for myself and instead it cast a vote for my opponent," said GOP state House candidate Jim Moynihan. "You could imagine my surprise as the same thing happened with a number of races when I tried to vote for a Republican and the machine registered a vote for a Democrat."

An Illinois elections official, Jim Scalzitti, also described the problem as a "calibration error," according to Watchdog.

Election officials in both states were notified of the problem, and those who reported having difficulties were ultimately able to cast the vote they intended. However, concerns remain about whether votes are being miscast in favor of the Democrats.
"I'm not sure what was done about it. If someone is not paying close attention, they could end up voting for the wrong candidate," one Maryland resident told Watchdog.

How the GOP Can Stop Obama

By DICK MORRIS, Published on TheHill.com on October 28, 2014

If the Republicans win the Senate next week, to quote Hillary Clinton's remarks in another context, "what difference does it make?" With President Obama still in the White House and the Republicans short of 60 votes -- and far short of the two-thirds needed in either house to override a presidential veto -- how can GOP control of the Senate have much impact?

The answer is that it can have an enormous impact -- if Republicans play their cards right.

The key is how they handle the federal budget, legislation that requires only a simple majority under the Byrd Rule and for which the president does not have a line-item veto power.

Congress can go line by line through the budget, legislating as it goes, rolling back one after another of Obama's initiatives.

Obviously, the GOP must not overplay its hand. If it uses its power to defund ObamaCare entirely, for example, the president will predictably veto the entire budget and the stage will be set for a replay of the October 2013 shutdown of the government, with the same disastrous consequences for the GOP.

But if Republicans limit their ambitions and carefully choose their targets, they can use line-item changes to control and derail important aspects of Obama's agenda.

The key is to pick targets where public opinion is on the Republican side and not to use the budgetary power in ways that exceed public expectations. Even though a majority of Americans oppose ObamaCare, it would be an overreach to repeal it by defunding it. The process of defunding has no roots in American political memory and is susceptible to Obama's argument that the Congress must pay the bills it has incurred. And, in a fight of that magnitude, as Clinton and Obama well know, the presidential megaphone drowns out all else.

But if Republicans are more limited in their objectives, they can succeed. They could, for example:

Use the Immigration and Customs Enforcement appropriation to overturn Obama's executive order, expected right after Election Day, to end deportations;

Use the Health and Human Services line to defund the Independent Payment Advisory Board, dubbed the "death panel" by Sarah Palin;

Repeal the medical device tax;

Require release of IRS emails by appending a requirement to the budget for that wayward agency;

Stop the Federal Election Commission from regulating Internet blogs;

Block the Federal Communications Commission from its attempts at Internet regulation.

In these and a host of other areas, Republicans can use the budget to thwart and roll back Obama's initiatives.

None of them likely rises to the level where the president would veto the entire budget. And, were he to do so, he would have to fight on ground overwhelmingly favorable to the GOP. He would fail.

And then there is ObamaCare. With the lawsuits invalidating subsidies that go to people who did not pass through the federal exchanges likely to reach the Supreme Court, the chance for a verdict overturning this key element of the healthcare law cannot be discounted. Both Justices John Roberts and Anthony Kennedy have repeated attacked legislating from the bench, and the lawsuit asks not that they overturn ObamaCare, just that they read the Affordable Care Act and enforce it literally as it is written. If ObamaCare subsidies are overturned, Republicans can replace them with a new system of tax credits without coercion by a simple majority in the Senate (as ObamaCare itself was passed with a simple majority).

Would Obama veto a bill that restores coverage to the 10 million or so people who will have lost their insurance in the court decision? Doubtful.

Islam Won’t Work Here

From 635 AD to 711 AD Muslims converted the Arabs and conquered most of the Middle East.  They operated like other conquering armies including Attila the Hun, Alexander the Great and the Romans, but unlike earlier Arab dynasties, they were intolerant of other religions. They would attack and take territory, kill all who did not convert to Islam and established mandatory Islam in each country. They brutally united Arabs, but their reputation suffered as group who does not play well with others.
All European and Mediterranean countries resisted and chased the Muslims out by 1080 AD.  The Crusades from 1095 AD to 1251 AD reignited hostilities and served as a counterattack by the Christians.  After 1251 AD Muslims continued to invade and convert, but didn’t gain much territory around Europe. They went to Asia, caused so much trouble in India they were sent to Pakistan.  They did manage to convert large parts of Indonesia and Africa after Colonial Rule receded.  The Colonial powers divided what was the Ottoman Empire into separate countries as they exist today.
When Colonial Europe occupied these colonies, they attempted to “westernize” the native leaders of these colonies.  Many Arabs and Africans were educated in England. After the colonies gained independence, this easier relationship continued.  Consequently, due to misguidance by the UN and the globalists, too many Muslims were allowed to settle in Europe.  This is not working well.
Islamic fundamentalists formed the Muslim Brotherhood from their jail cells in Egypt and when they were released, they organized a movement that created the myriad of Islamic Terrorist groups we see today.
What’s important to know is that as Muslims migrate to other countries in Europe, they take over, run for Mayor and want to impose Sharia Law.  This is a disaster for the Europeans and they are not happy.
If the U.S. doesn’t stop Muslim immigration to the U.S. now, we will be in the same fix as the Europeans. All European countries are dealing with politically active and violent Muslims and should be limiting entry and deporting Imams now.  We should do the same.
Perhaps if the Imams who prefer to ignore Mohammed’s call to Jihad would meet, remove the troublesome sections of the Quran and form the Reform Muslim church, they can turn this around.  If they don’t they will find themselves forever isolated and under suspicion. We in the U.S. must declare that the current Quran suggests that the U.S. does not regard Islam as a religion that deserves the protections of the U.S. Constitution.

Immigrants took the Jobs

New Record: Foreign-Born Job-Holders Break 25M by Ali Meyer October 28, 2014 - 9:47 AM

(CNSNews.com) - The number of foreign-born individuals holding jobs in the United States hit a record high of 25,019,000 in September, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
The BLS has been tracking the number of foreign-born workers annually since 2005 and monthly since 2007. The BLS does not distinguish between foreign-born individuals who are in the United States legally and those who are here illegally.
“The foreign born are those who reside in the United States but who were born outside the country or one of its outlying areas to parents who were not U.S. citizens,” the BLS explains. “The foreign born include legally-admitted immigrants, refugees, temporary residents such as students and temporary workers, and undocumented immigrants. The survey data, however, do not separately identify the numbers of persons in these categories.”
The 25,019,000 foreign-born workers who held jobs in the United States in September was up 380,000 from August, when 24,639,000 foreign-born workers held jobs.
From September 2013 to September 2014, the number of foreign-born workers holding jobs in the United States climbed by 978,000 from 24,041,000 to 25,019,000. During that same September-to-September period, the number of native-born Americans holding jobs increased by 1,312,000, from 120,610,000 to 121,922,000.
Of the 146,941,000 people with jobs in the United States in September (in the BLS’s non-seasonally adjusted data), the 25,019,000 foreign-born workers equaled 17 percent of the job-holders. But of the 2,290,000 increase in job-holders from September 2013 to September 2014, the 978,000 increase in foreign-born job-holders was 42.7 of the total.

Our high unemployment is self-inflicted and was created on purpose by the federal government.  If these 25 million immigrants hadn’t moved to the U.S., then 25 million of our 92 million citizens not in the workforce would be in the workforce. We would only have 67 million citizens not in the workforce.

Vote for Richard Woods, GA State School Supt

.Richard Woods opposes Common Core for all the reasons cited in the article below.  His opponent supports Common Core.
How the Common Core Lost Teacher Support
Posted: 08/20/2014 9:53 am EDT Updated: 10/20/2014 5:59 am EDT
Support for the Core among teachers dropped like a stone, from 76% in 2013 to 46% in 2014. That's a lot of love lost. Now, as we move from the "Holy schneikies!" phase into the "Got some splainin' to do" phase, we'll start to ask the big question.  Why?
Over at The Fordham, Mike Petrilli hopes he knows why -- Note the phrase, "they will be used to hold public schools accountable for their performance." Perhaps these words triggered the more negative response. I think Petrilli is hoping in vain. I think there's a much more likely explanation for CCSS's bad year among teachers.

Let's think back to May of 2013. Personally, I'm a fine example of what teachers were like at that point. I didn't know a lot about the Core, and what I did know didn't sound all that bad. As far as I'd heard, a bunch of important people had called together a bunch of teachers to write some standards that could be used across the country to bring a little coherence to the higgledy-piggledy crazy-quilt that is US education. I'm not really a fan of national standards, but as long as they came from educational experts and were largely voluntary, it couldn't hurt to look at them. Heck, if you had asked me in May of 2013 if I supported the Common Core standards, I might very well have said yes. And though there were teachers out there who had already caught on, there were plenty of teachers like me who were perfectly willing to give the whole business a shot. So how did the reformsters lose all those hearts and minds?

I think it's a measure of how detailed and painstaking and inch-by-inch this massive debate has been that it's easy to lose track of the big picture, the many massively boneheaded things that CCSS supporters did along the way. Let's reminisce about how so many teachers were turned off.
The lying.
Remember how supporters of the Core used to tell us all the time that these standards were written by teachers? All. The. Time. Do you know why they've stopped saying that? Because it's not true, and at this point, most everybody knows it's not true. The "significant" teacher input, the basis in solid research -- all false. When someone is trying to sell you medicine and they tell you that it was developed by top doctors and researchers and you find out it wasn't and they have to switch to, "Well, it was developed by some guys who are really interested in mediciney stuff who once were in a doctor's office" -- it just reduces your faith in the product.
The involuntariness

In many places, it took a while for it to sink in -- "You mean we're not actually allowed to change ANY of it, and we can only add 15%??!!"
It quickly became clear -- this was not a reform where we would all sit around a table at our own schools and decide how to best to adapt and implement to suit our own students. Session by session, we were sent off to trainings where some combination of state bureaucrats and hired consultants would tell us how it was going to be. We were not being sent off to discuss or contribute our own professional expertise; we were being sent to get our marching orders, which very often even our own administrators were not "important" enough to give us (or understand).

Shut up.

Particularly in the latter half of 2013, we all heard this a lot. Phrased in diplomatic language, of course, but on the state and federal level we were told repeatedly that this was not a discussion, that our input was neither needed nor wanted, and that if we’re going to raise any sorts of questions, we should just forget about it.
This was particularly true for public schools. After all, the narrative went, public schools were failing and covering it up by lying to students and their parents about how well they were doing. It became increasingly clear that the Common Core were not meant to help us, but to rescue America's children from us. "Just shut up and sit down," said CCSS boosters with a sneer. "You've done enough damage already."
The slander.

Arne Duncan told newspaper editors to paint core opponents as misguided and misinformed. Then he portrayed objectors as whiny white suburban moms. Opposition to CCSS was repeatedly portrayed as coming strictly from the tin hat wing of the Tea Party. If you opened your mouth to say something bad about the Core, you were immediately tagged a right-wing crank. There was no recognition that any complaint about any portion of the Core could possibly be legitimate. It had to be politically motivated or the result of ignorance.
The money.

The longer the year went on, the more it seemed that every single advocate for the Core was being paid for it. I've been wading into this for a while, and I'll be damned if I can name a single solitary actual grass-roots group advocating for the Core. Instead, we find a sea of groups all swimming in the same money from the same sources.
And at the school level, we also see lots of money -- all of it outbound. Suddenly, with Common Core, there's a long list of things that have to be bought. Can't get new books -- we have to buy computers to take the PARCC. And let's watch a parade of consultants, all making more money than we are, come in and tell us how to do our jobs.
The suffering children.

Many of us just finished our first year of Core-aligned curriculum, and in many cases it was awful. We were required to force students to operate at or beyond frustration level day after day. We watched them have special classes stripped away to make time for test prep. We watched school stamp out the spirit of the smallest students, whose defining characteristic is usually that they love everything, including school. While CCSS boosters were off sipping lattes in nice offices, we were there at ground zero watching 180 days of exactly how this reform affected real, live students.
The testing.

You keep saying that the tests are separate from the CCSS. We keep telling you that, here on the ground, there is no daylight visible between them.
The plan for failure.

There was a moment, even a day for the strong-hearted, where it looked like the Obama administration was going to release us from the educational malpractice that is NCLB. But no -- it soon became clear that we were still trapped in the same terrible movie. Our fates would still be linked to high stakes tests, just in more complicated and stupid ways. You did not have to be terribly cynical to conclude that the goal was for public schools to fail, so that reformsters could "rescue" the students "trapped" in "failing schools."
The backpedaling

As support has crumbled, Core boosters have retracted some of their pronouncements. "We have to build the airplane as we fly it" becomes "we have to take our time and fix these implementation problems." This has the effect of confirming what we suspected -- that they didn't really know what they were doing in the first place.
The implementation dodge was particularly telling. Teachers have heard "That resource/program/widget will work great. You're just using it wrong" a gazillion times. It translates roughly as "This won't help you complete that task, but if you do some other task, it might be useful."
But the thing about CCSS implementation is that Core boosters got to do everything that they said they wanted to. So if the implementation messed things up that either means 1) they don't know what they're talking about or 2) the Core really are that bad.
Location location location.

Politicians have understood for at least several decades that you can convince people if you lie deliberately and sincerely, but sometimes (like this one) they forget an important detail. It is easy to lie to people about what is happening in a faraway place like Iraq or Siberia. It is much harder to pull of lies about what is going on right in front of their faces.
Core boosters can tell stories all day about what's happening on the business end of their pride and joy, but teachers are actually at ground zero, and they have eyes and ears and brains and professional judgment.
This was a big field test year for CCSS as it spread into more schools than ever before. The drop in teacher support is one more clear indicator that, in the latest phase of rollout, the Core is failing. And as more and more teachers become entangled in this mess of botched national standards, things are only going to get worse. The Core lost support for the same reason that liver seems like a great thing to eat until you actually take a bite of it.
In short, I believe the Core lost teacher support because so many teachers spent the year face to face with it, looking it right in its beady little eyes. They don't love it because they know it so well. I'm willing to bet that by next May, when it's survey time again, the Core is not going to be awash in a new wave of teacher love.

Ebola Spreads Like Flu

Wednesday, October 29, 2014 by Kit Daniels | Infowars.com | October 29, 2014

"Coughing, sneezing" spread of Ebola, flu nearly identical, according to CDC documents

Amazing the lies that liberals have told about this. And to what purpose. Check it out:

Ebola spreads through coughing and sneezing much like influenza, which most experts agree is spread “mainly by droplets made when people with flu cough, sneeze or talk,” according to documents by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

A new CDC flyer describing the “droplet spread” of Ebola, which “happens when germs traveling inside droplets that are coughed or sneezed from a sick person,” is nearly identical to the CDC’s description of influenza which states “most experts think that flu viruses are spread mainly by droplets made when people with flu cough, sneeze or talk.”

“Droplet spread happens when germs traveling inside droplets that are coughed or sneezed from a sick person enter the eyes, nose, or mouth of another person,” the CDC Ebola flyer states, which was released on Monday. “Droplets travel short distances, less than 3 feet (1 meter) from one person to another. A person might also get infected by touching a surface or object that has germs on it and then touching their mouth or nose.” “Droplet spread diseases include: plague, Ebola.”

This flyer superseded a previous document on Ebola transmission by the CDC, dated Oct. 16, which said nothing about the droplet spread of Ebola, instead claiming that “Ebola is not spread through the air.”

It appears the CDC is backtracking from its prior statement and is now slowing admitting that Ebola can spread through coughing and sneezing.

Similarly, in another document entitled “How Flu Spreads,” the CDC reveals the droplet spread of the flu is very similar to that of Ebola.

“Most experts think that flu viruses are spread mainly by droplets made when people with flu cough, sneeze or talk,” the CDC states. “These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.”

“Less often, a person might also get flu by touching a surface or object that has flu virus on it and then touching their own mouth or nose.”

So, in summary, the droplet spread of Ebola is almost identical to that of influenza, according to the CDC, which also released new guidelines on Monday stating that people are at risk for contracting Ebola if they are “in the same room for a brief period of time” with an Ebola patient.

“The new guidelines also list ‘fatigue’ as a potential Ebola symptom, while individuals who had direct contact (such as a hand shake) with an Ebola victim prior to symptom onset in the victim are also now considered a risk, suggesting that the CDC is entertaining the possibility that the virus can be transmitted even from victims who have yet to display symptoms,” Paul Joseph Watson wrote.

And it’s interesting to note the CDC’s “How Flu Spreads” web page also states “you may be able to pass on the flu to someone else before you know you are sick.”

U.S. Army scientists demonstrated that the airborne transmission of Ebola was possible “at lower temperature and humidity than that normally present in sub-Saharan Africa” in a 1995 study, and they said the high temperatures and humidity present in Africa “may have been a factor limiting aerosol transmission of Ebola virus in the African epidemics.”
